The app functions reasonably well and I use it with the OSD max12 in my whole home audio set up. However, I had to subtract 2 stars for a few reasons. You can’t save settings then propagate them to another Apple device. This means if your wife has a phone you have set her phone up from scratch. If your kids have a phones you have to set up those from scratch again. This is true about both of these OSD apps. Suggest transferring over blue tooth with two complying devices. All my other apps do that or transfer with QR code. When I connect to my home’s vpn the ODS Nero Max12 app works, but this player app says “no WiFi found.” Just make this app do the same thing as your ODS app that controls Max12. I mean, same developer. VPN is supposed to work like you are standing in your home so you can operate apps and services while away. Again the Max12 OSD app does this so just copy that behavior. It doesn’t have Pandora as an option. I had to create new accounts in Tidal, Spotify, TuneIn. Suggest getting Pandora as a service.
I don’t know why this app has negative reviews. I have a decent sized outdoor system with 30 speakers and an underground woofer. Works perfectly for separating zones to play different things or to combine all zones and play everything everywhere.
This new app update makes user interface friendly and add more streaming feature, well done !
I usually don’t write reviews but this app works fine. Have a outdoor speaker system, xd2, wra and xsub 12 w amp plus 8 5” rock speakers. All works fine and I can control directly with my iphone, stream apple music and play all my songs and control everything from my phone. Not sure what the negative reviews are for but for me everything is working great. 3/1/23
Stay away
I think this is a great idea but there’s just a few problems. Does not work with Spotify the same way as it works with Denon, Pioneer, Sonos, Apple TV, and just about every other integration. The Nero unit is not stable with any music source. Music will adjust music and volume on its own. You cannot start music with the app. You must use the remote.
At least on an iPhone this device and this app don’t work. At all. No support is available
Don’t waste your time Not able to link several attempts Poor instruction in device box and app as well
