Great, but lackluster experience.
Let me get this straight, being. Able to directly play osu! On mobile any time you want is a brilliant idea and is a good deal for most people like me who can’t always use their pc or laptop, however, this game was pretty disappointing and could have been improved for if you did not discontinue it. Starting with the tutorial, it seems reasonable, the only issue is the fact that the multiple spinners tire out my hand easily. Moving onto the gameplay, it’s pretty much a mobile version of Osu!, With Maps being designed to use the advantages of mobile (Such as the fact that with 2 hands, the player can easily do jumps and concurrent notes.) It even has a unique hold note which would be very interesting to see incorporated into the actual game of Osu! Because right now we have to use continuous repeating sliders to get even something like a hold. The stream mode would also be a great incorporation into Osu! Too, and it probably wouldn’t be too hard to code in either (it could likely be a separate difficulty that flows through all the difficulties depending on performance and have extra stream difficulties depending on how many difficulties there are.) However, there are a few problems. One for instance is the fact how there’s no actual normal difficulty but only it being present in stream mode. The easy modes and expert modes are essentially just the bottom and top streams in stream mode, is it would be good to have had a normal mode for those who are experienced, but don’t have the skill to do expert. An extra problem is the poor choice of beatmaps to choose from. There are only 45 maps to choose from and they aren’t even anything rememberable. (Like Bad Apple! for instance.) Another inconvinece is expert mode, you can only play it if you have an A ranking on stream mode for a map. Fair enough for the first few but then it becomes inconvenient as you have to do a difficulty below your skill level in order to unlock the appropriate difficulty you desire. The final issue is that absence of modifiers. When I got Osu! For my Laptop, I was totally gobsmacked by modifiers, (because they were abbreviated as mods, I thought they were actually mods for the game and not just map modifiers!) I was glad that I could modify a map the way I would like to help me train for or intentionally buff a map. It’s also good for multiplayer as they can allow you to buff a map if someone chooses one easy for you, or nerf it if it’s too hard, Osu!Stream has no modifers (except autoplay
