Doesn’t work on Arabic tuning CFADGC!
Doesn’t work on the most common Arabic tuning CFADGC! Even with custom tuning it doesn’t recognize the sounds and the placement of the strings. Oud Tuner works better and cheaper.

Good App, but needs one change
The Lower C on the Syrian oud tuner tunes the same as the higher c on the other side of the strings. It tries to make the lower c go way to high.
Works great for custom tuning
I tune my viola da gamba to A = 415 hz instead of 450 hz. Easy peasy with this app. I tune my strings to D G C E A D, so created a custom instrument for it. Easy peasy again. I paid for the app; it works fine and is inexpensive. There are no adds.
Incredible, simple and efficient.
I recently inherited several instruments from family who played professionally in Turkey and I needed the tuners for Ud/Oud, Cümbüş, and bağlama. I had searched quite hard for the cümbüş tuner and couldn’t find any on YouTube or the internet. I eventually ran into this app while searching for the Ud/Oud and it just so happened to provide the 2 common tunings of cümbüş and the Turkish standard tuning for the Ud/Oud for free. The same creator of the app also has another app for bağlama which allowed to me to get all 3 instruments tuners from the same creator. The tuner itself works incredibly well and includes a free chromatic tuner(doesn’t always come free in other tuning apps). The app then includes vast amounts of features that greatly expand the app for only 2.99 USD. Only good things to say about this app and one of the few things I am willing to write a review about.

Great App Indeed!
I have to agree with Pooya8686, this is a great app for oud players. I used to use a chromatic tuner app, which was no trouble because I know what the notes are for each of the two or three tunings that I believe I will use. But this one to me is a bit easier to handle. I like the auto-repeat selector, and that when I play a note, it registers my oud’s tone seemingly without picking up stray sound waves from the tuner. Plus, I paid for this tuner for my iPad, but it was available also for my iPhone! (Two for one, I guess.) For me, this has worked well so far. I do feel sorry for KBKowBoy’s experience, and I hope he/she was able to get something in its place.
