Out & About – Social Camping

Some locations are not precise, we’ve been up country lanes several miles away as the app has the wrong location for the meet. Also, phone numbers are listed, but not clickable. Therefore I have to either scribble it down or take a screenshot and use OCR to extract the number, just make it interactive please.

Not a bad app. Please add the ability to save favourites. As I forget what I’ve looked at !!

Trying to find all the meets you know are scheduled not a straightforward matter. Following January update the walking & Cycling Section meets have disappeared altogether

As a DA committee member, I am aware of numerous cases of campers that missed meets or tried to attend cancelled meets because their app hasn’t downloaded the latest info and they did not realise. Please add a warning for users telling them the data is out of date (e.g. more than a week old) As a camper, I would like more search capabilities: for example to find a meet with toilets and showers or electric hookup etc. this would really help a lot of people.

Description of venues is often vague. Would be great if you could cut & paste address into google for more information

But now doesn’t work properly. It shows club meets but once you put your dates in it then only picks out a couple of random meets that don’t necessarily even match the dates you wanted. I used to rely on this but now I may have to go back to having a good old paper magazine to follow.

Takes forever to scroll down to meets that are this years dates. Please remove 2021.

Still listing events from summer 2021 and earlier, so it’s very confusing No events shown for listings in the CCC magazine. Looks like relying on this will mean you missing lots of events Come on CCC you must be back in the office by now

Liked the app at first and managed to book some rallies but soon realised that it was not up to date. Shows wrong prices, even wrong phone number on one and my local DA has no rallies all year according to the app. Need to go on the website for all rallies and correct info.

For an app from an organisation such as the CCC, the lack of post code and the latitude and longitude of temporary sites, in this day of satnav navigation, make you wonder about the organisers of this website.
