Beyond Irritating

The original outlanders was a nearly perfect game, it was difficult but fun. This game truly feels like a downgrade, it feels less strategic and I REALLY MISS decrees! I feel like some levels are bugged? The reproduction rate is abysmal, even at 100% happiness and housed, my villagers are not reproducing after 40+ game days… Specifically on the “Blown Away” campaign, I am on my third attempt, absolutely zero births in 43 game days and my villagers die before I can complete the mission. Also frequently getting messages that people are starving despite having food. Please fix.

Still a fan!!!

I have played countless hours of Outlanders (1) and it is, by far, my favorite game on my tablet. I am always so excited for updates! So when I saw that there is an Outlanders 2, I got so excited! One of my favorite things about this game is that once you get past the intro, they are fun and challenging to complete missions! I also just love that it is such a calming game even with it being challenging! I have completed the first 2 full quests and the only thing I would suggest is being able to ration food again…or be able to select which food they can eat? But the one upgrade I love for O2 is that I can see tactical mode and not be in greyscale!!! I get to play strategically AND see the beauty of the game! Hurray!

Reposting this because devs forced a response. The game is EXHAUSTING. It requires 3 annoying and very shallow “story missions” before it allows you to play freely at all. Save your time and find something else unless you have 4 hours to waste because the devs wanted play time metrics.

Great improvements

The build function on Outlanders 2 is a massive improvement. Challenges are not working for me even though I’ve finished all the levels. Took about a week or two of casual play with the experience of the original version to knock out all the levels. Looking forward to more updates.

Meh. Get outlanders 1

Simply not as good as the first one, the challenges were a bit more difficult but nothing crazily new from the old version. Also not a huge fan of the new interface I found myself a lost a few times. Hope they add more levels since I beat this pretty quickly.

Too hard & a lot is missing this isn't a sequel not fun.

Seeing the sandbox stuff terrible sad.. the game isn't a sequel to 1 .. It's worst then 1..play outlanders 1 it's better. This game when doing story is too hard too frustrating & aggravating with the story's, I had to try them cause at first they locked sandbox to a 3 chapter 9 level grind, While waiting for sandbox to unlock (they did so in a update thankfully) I went back to outlanders 1 cause I couldn't do the story of 2 was hard & while with 1, I saw that stuff from 1 is gone in 2, Prioritizes is gone, in outlanders 2 they restricted builders. In 1 as long as u had many builder huts u could get stuff done fast. In 2 the stock piles are gone it seems now replaced by a warehouse which is not better it's terrible! In 2 some of the houses need resources why make it more complicated!? 1 was perfect just needed more stuff! The graphics are in 2 meh but I don't care about graphics I care about gameplay of which 2 has little of for me.. 1 has charm with its graphics, 2 is nothing special in graphics. A update came making Sandbox unlocked at start for outlanders 2 no more uneeded grind & I realized why it was locked when it first came many options from outlanders 1 are gone, building styles gone, not many land options, not many leaders, everything is simplified.. it's like the love & detail of 1 left when they went 3d. All the advanced options gone, no way to choose no age, no hunger etc.. Most the crops are gone from 1, most the buildings are gone from 1. This is not a sequel, this is not fun, I'm not staying with 2 I'm going back to 1, 1 has love care & details.. 2 lost all that in the transfer to..idk 3d.. We didn't need 3d! We needed more options & stuff .. For me to come back, bring back stockpiles, bring back prioritize, bring back the builder huts.. Bring more houses, more buildings, more road style, more leaders, more villager styles.. more biome choices, loads more crops & more then 1, More decorations! Make it a sequel this isn't a sequel! it has less then the first! Otherwise this isn't worth playing, outlanders 1 is.

Devs listen!

Changed my review because they listened and made the sandbox available from the start instead of needed grind some of the difficult storylines. Very happy, even though I had finally unlocked sandbox on my own after several tries. Thanks for listening.

Great game
