Hello THU Team On April, 19th I purchased the “Overange 120” as a functional auv3 plugin for iOS Garageband. This was to my satisfaction. Now I‘m told, even though it still says “Overange 120” is purchased, it is no longer accessible as a auv3, just functional in the stand alone app. You‘ll can’t be serious!!! Did this come with the recent update?

Ich habe in den letzten 10 Jahren so ziemlich alles an virtuellen Gitarren Amps ausgiebig getestet. Hier stimmt einfach das Gesamtpaket: - Sound! - Spielgefühl - Preispolitik (Ich nutze TH-U auch auf Windows, wenn man für dieses System etwas gekauft hat, gibt es das für das iPad sehr günstig, leider nicht selbstverständlich, es gibt oft gute Angebote….) - Sehr viele Rigs, nicht nur Metal Sounds Für verbesserungswürdig halte ich das Preset Management, die MIDI Implementierung und teilweise das GUI. Ich bin jetzt schweren Herzens auf toneX umgestiegen da ich neben Gitarre auch Bass spiele. Und da ist die Auswahl bei THU doch extrem erbärmlich. Es gibt tatsächlich nur ein Bass Rig! Obwohl ich das GUI, die Midifizierung und Anderes bei THU deutlich besser finde.

es klingt fantastisch und die erste ampsim fürs ipad die sich " echt " anfühlt. ich hab selbst im studio schon aufnahmen damit gemacht. speziell die choptone amps sind hervorragend. ich hab noch den zakk wylde jcm 800 dazugekauft und bin total begeistert. selbst die leicht crunchy sounds wo der amp gerade so in die zerre geht klingen unfassbar gut. das konnte keine andere simulation. was ist der unterschied? die latenz! mit einem ipad pro ( M2 ) und einem audient id4 interface bring ich die latenz mit einer buffersize von 32 und 96khz auf unter 6ms. das ist gar nichts und vergleichbar mit der referenz von uad usw. ich denke aber ohne m1 oder m2 geht da nichts. mit meinem älteren ipad der 9.generation ist unter einer buffersize von 256 nichts zu machen. das ist zumindestens für mich absolut unspielbar. noch etwas. ich besitze ein paar les pauls und die klingen an einem amp doch sehr unterschiedlich. bei jeder ampsim war das aber nicht hörbar. klang alles annähernd gleich. bei dieser app ist das ganz anders! die unterschiede der gitarren sind so deutlich hörbar wie an einem echten verstärker. von mir die volle punktzahl - macht echt spaß

I‘m wonder what can you do just with mobile device :) The UI is better compared to other Apps, but the output signal has more noise compared to Bias FX or does the noice belongs to the simulation? Also not very nice is, that the Full- Pack does not contain different Rigs. You need to buy them separately. The price is a little bit high. I would expect a Full Pack that unlocks all -pay once and get all. Bias FX was half of the price for the complete package. I personally would also like some Presets related to Pink Floyd or Mark Knopfler :)

This plugin blew my mind !! It sounds really really good. I own some Neural DSP plugins that I consider to be the best in class when it comes to amp sims. But TH-U has become my favorite amp sim. It is not perfect. The design and graphic interface doesn’t look as nice as the competition, the presets management system is very basic, no tags, no sub folders. To change the settings of amps and pedals, one need to use a menu on the right not very appealing. We need more bundles, like Rock and Metal or 60’s and rock. But all these points to improve are nothing compared to the huge satisfaction of playing with this plugin. There are a lot of fantastic sounding presets that can be used as a starting point. But they already sound like a dream. I appreciate that you have a global eq which allows you to adapt the plugin to any speaker. If you need one guitar plugin, chose this one !!!!

I thought the bought content is bound to my login but it isn’t. I use sometimes the iPad from my wife and bought a pack. When I log in with my iPhone using the same App Account I can‘t acces the bought pack

This is the real Deal! Simply astonishing how accurate These emulations are.

I only recently started to use simulations for playing guitar. A burnt tube head paved the way to try something new... And I am really astonished on how awesome simulations turned out to be! I had tried out competitors beforehand (also payed versions) but Overloud is the most convincing one! The feel of the amps is great, controlling is easy - this is most important to me. Besides that you get what you pay for: the free stuff you get is not much, but worthy and a good example; the bundles, once bought, allow you to dive deep into the specific style they are made for. For example the metal bundle will also give you the tools for excelling in clean parts in a typical demeanour of the genre. Of course it comes with roaring tones for everything between old school heavy metal, thrash, sludge, doom and even modern djent. I find this piece of software to be really inspiring and creative. It works well with real gear, too. In that way you can still use your boutique fuzz pedals and custom designed cabinets to their full extend! Love it. P.S.: If I could wish for a specific feature? Make all inputs and outputs of the used audio interface visible and allow for routing from anywhere inside the app!
