No options for male infertility

AnnieMake on

United States

A good app for period tracking, but it is constantly asking me to provide more info on my health status and never once has it asked if we are experiencing male infertility. The assumption is always that the issue is with the woman if we are not pregnant, and it would be nice if they acknowledged it is possible for the issue to be with the male partner as well. It would also enhance the way they analyze their data.

Inaccurate fertility window

If you’re trying to conceive I wouldn’t suggest this application it’s very inaccurate. I have been using this app to track fertility in conjunction with fertility strips and couldn’t understand why I have only one day window every month for 4 months now, until I purchased Inito fertility strips tracker and my fertile window starts on the 10th not on 17th according this generic Ovia app and this is why I haven’t been successful in conceiving especially when I have to plan trips to travel to my husband on my fertile days. I’m deleting this garbage of my phone and never again! What a waste of time!

Informative & Empowering

I have been using Ovia for almost a decade—for both NFP and TTC—and it is a must! We tried to get pregnant for months before I downloaded Ovia; one month later I had a positive pregnancy test in my hands. This app has a bright, clean, interface that’s very user-friendly. Additionally, I have a health issue that causes me to often miscarry, and—thanks to this app—I am always able to give doctors tons of information about where I am in my cycle and what’s going on in my body. It’s such an encouraging feeling to not be stuck in the dark! Understanding one’s menstrual cycle is invaluable and empowering for ALL women in ANY situation, and Ovia is an amazing resource for the job.

Best app ever

Doesn’t save info

@__dinebean on

So it’ll go a couple months letting me know when my next period is. Then all of a sudden there is no info stored. However, it’s usually accurate when working.

Doesn’t seem to fix some bugs

I love the app overall, but it doesn’t stay connected to Fitbit and it doesn’t take off things I’ve unchecked to keep track of. It’s a great app, it’s just some bug fixes that would make it a little better and easier to use.

If your periods are irregular this app is worthless

I used to love this app, before my last pregnancy when my periods were regular. I loved their pregnancy apps and I've used Ovia for period and pregnancy for years... ever since MyCycles quit being updated and was removed from the App Store. So a long time lol. When my periods were regular, this app seemed like the best thing ever, but since having my last baby, my periods have been absolutely crazy and not regular at all, and this app does something unforgivable in my opinion. It will record and mark down in it, periods you never had based on its predictions. It used to mark them but it didn't put the little "recorded data" mark, which made it annoying but still possible to see if you had imputed the period or if it had bc it thought you forgot, but now even the ones it puts in are labeled "recorded" so when I go back and try to figure out when the last one I had was, it is very hard to find. I've pulled this app up at the dr more than once now trying to tell them the last time I had a period and I give them the wrong dates while I try to figure it out. App is now useless
