Version 2 is here!
What is new in this version?
In a nutshell, everything!
Do you borrow money? Do you lend money to your friends? Maybe your family is on your mobile family plan ( you know that mobile plan that no one actually knows what they owe the plan owner each month).
If one or all of these fits you, then you're going to love owed!
Here is just a sample of some key features:
• FREE to use and no sign-up requirement.
Seriously who doesn't like free? This also means you should limit your list of demands on what the app needs to do. Remember, it's FREE.
• Keep track of multiple entries for each person.
If you're like me, you have that one friend (Carl) that is constantly borrowing something. Now you can keep tabs on Carl and what he owes you.
• Use your contacts to create new people.
Now it's super easy to add Carl's information to the owed app. (Thanks Apple Contacts)
• Set Notifications.
I promise this time they work!
• Send email or SMS reminders.
Email not your thing? No worries. Send that person a text message directly from the owed app!
• 3D touch enabled
Maybe you have it, maybe you don't. But if you do, good for you, as owed is now using 3D touch!
• Update person's information.
You know, like if Carl tries to change his legal name to Chuck. Well bad news, Chuck. Owed makes it really easy to update a contact's name.
• View the history of your statements.
If Chuck tries to argue that he didn't borrow more money on top of what he already owes you for lunch, now you can show him the exact day he borrowed money for that Happy Meal.
If you like what you see, please rate the app!
Thanks for checking out the app, we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

owed FAQ
Is owed free?
Yes, owed is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is owed legit?
🤔 The owed app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
I really love the concept for this app. The design is appealing, intuitive, and easy to use.
However, there seems to be some glitches. Mine won’t let me save an entry after editing it.
Also, in the settings some of the descriptions trail off the screen and there doesn’t seem to be a way to expand it to read the whole thing.
It would also be nice if you were able to back up your entries somehow.
So good!
Simple but well executed. As a busy freelance musician, I use this app multiple times per week to keep track of who owes me what for each gig, session, etc….
Makes my life so much simpler. I would absolutely pay for this app
Extremely limited
The only thing for me that I like about this app is that it is non-subscription.. I’m giving it a neutral 3 rather than a 1 because it might fulfill some needs out there, but it is really basic, it doesn’t do anything more for me than my calculator app and notepad. I expected it to be a great way to enter an amount I loaned a friend and then offer an easy way to decline his balance, for example if the loan was $5000 and he paid me at his convenience on his payday (not structured to a specific recurring date) I would just enter that amount, say $259.30 and the app would show the date he paid me, the amount, and what’s left that he still owes me … $4740.70. Ideally I could text or email him a receipt showing his remaining balance. That would be a great app, this isn’t it.
Decent
Decent app, does as it should. I wish there was accounts to save backups of data in case a phone breaks, and ability to share list with my girlfriend for example so we can both see it as it’s updated. Thanks!
Nice!
I would give this nice app 5 stars if it had a couple more features.
1. The ability to change a note in history.
2. The ability to delete entries in history.
Other than that, great and it’s free!
slick little app
needed an app to track who-owes-who lunch at work. it's simple and elegant and best of all: no ads! no in-app purchases!
amazing.
Simple and easy to use!
I have been looking for an app just like this and it’s perfect! I don’t need some fancy bill splitting app, I just need something to keep a running balance of what was paid and for what.
One of the most useful apps!
This app is so perfect. The UI is super clean and easy to use and it’s quick and to the point. I love that I can see the running total on the main tabs and that what I owe and what is owed to me are color differentiated for quick reference.
Would love to a see a running total at the bottom of the page containing all the individual transactions as well... so, for example I can see everything my brother owes me minus what I owe him. Makes it easy to say “hey dude, you owe me this much after deducting what I owe you.”
Keep up the great work!!
Great lil app that’s not perfect
This is very close to a perfect IOU app, but it has sa couple minor bugs and missing features. Bugs: 1) I can’t edit notes, when I edit my note and save I get a message saying nothing was changed and I can’t save. 2) when editing a list of debits I click on debit 1 and it brings up debit 2… these IMO are minor bugs for a free app. The missing feature I wish it had was the ability to click and drag to reorder payments and an option for reoccurring payments, like phone or rent. With that being said. I really like the UI and simplicity of use, it’s a very well thought out - user friendly app that does what it says it will and does it fairly well. 4 of 5
Need some updates
Wish it had a way to mark the debt paid. When you swipe right you can delete it but I think it should have a way where you can mark as paid. That way if the owes you for different things than it would be easier to know you don’t owe them for that. I tried to add a note and change the amount to 0 and it just give me nothing.
