OWNA Childcare App

We got shifted to this app and the process has been horrible. Everything was fine before but now we can't even book before school care.

As a parent, the main thing I want to do is see my bookings and add new ones. I cannot navigate to that from the bottom nav nor the side menu easily. I once managed to find it under several menus but I can’t find it again which is frustrating

Very old fashioned form entry UX design. For a form that can take up to 40 minutes to fill, how is there no draft or save in case the connection drops? If one detail is wrong Centerlink won’t be able to enrol your child. How is there no copy of the form sent for confirmation? We spent two stressful days between the childcare and centerlink just to find out one date didn’t save / register properly. Your clients are paying for a well designed system to save them time, not to give them two days of admin headache that other apps have a proper UX already part of their package. Fix it please.

Very hard to navigate, I’ve used multiple different apps for childcare and this one is easily the worst. I can’t book in days I need, struggle to find my child’s information and waste so much time trying to look for what I need.

I’ve been having an ongoing issue with this app where each day I sign in for my kid via the iPad provided by the childcare, it fails to show the sign in record on the app under “Attendance” section. And due to that reason, I couldn’t see any activities of my kid at the childcare until the educator realise it and manually sign in the app from their end again, which could be several hours after my kid’s arrival. I update this app regularly. I’ve told the educators with such issue and nothing has changed. Please investigate why this incident is re-occurring and provide a solution. Thanks.

App is extremely clunky and unintuitive. Please hire a UX designer. Upon tapping the 'Famly' tab in the OWNA app, a Famly account was created without my permission. Not only is this extremely bad practice, is also a dark pattern.

Slow. Buggy. Eg choose 2025 in the date picker and 2026 appears on the form. Centre keeps asking us to resubmit the medication form with the correct date but it’s not possible to do so with the bug. Notifications. Some go missing, eg you see in your phone notifications but it’s not visible in the in app notifications list. Navigation is confusing and located in multiple places. Some items are in the top level navigation. Other items are hidden in a child level navigation. Our daycare centre has to provide “cheat sheets” on how to use the app because it’s so unintuitive and confusing to parents.

Since March the app has been buggy, I’ve had an issue trying to sign incident reports for my child. I contacted support, they tried to help but was unsuccessful, they didn’t get back to me on the issue. I contacted customer support again a month later about the same issue and haven’t heard from them at all this time around.

Hello the app updated on my phone and I noticed that it’s glitchy it’s been all day today 23/04/24 it takes forever to load I’ve restarted my phone about 5 times to fix it and on top of this the icon colour doesn’t change anymore when I go to settings and clink on dark for icon colour it doesn’t change please fix these issues

I cant see my sons picture next to his name. The circle in his profile lic just gives his initials.
