Cortona ... Etruscan city and tuscan jewel.
Placed in the south of Tuscany, Cortona is older than Rome and it's famous fotr its history, sight-seeing, wine, olive oil, countryside... and the movies like "Under the tuscan sun", or "La vita è bella (Life is beautiful)" of Roberto Benigni.
Dedicated to free tourism, we want to be your genuine guide of the city, therefore inside you will find various sections such as:
- Introduction to the city and its history;
- Curiosities and folklore;
- Tourist itineraries divided by theme and difficulty;
- A geo-localized map that will indicate your position and the points of interest near you.
Currently available in Italian, English, French, German, Spanish... we are working to make it available in other languages as well.
The Cortona interest point are told verbatim, but with the next goal of making the audio and becoming a real audio guide.
We are constantly developing and also available to your support to fill our gaps ...
Features present:
- Map area: display of useful points of the city that can be selected according to preference;
- Map area: possibility to insert a personalized point in the map (insertion, modification and deletion)
- Map area: possibility of viewing from satellite or road map
- Map area: visualization of present storms and simulation
- Map area: display of other places of interest nearby with indications on how to reach them by public transport
- Map area: display of petrol stations in Italy with prices updated daily from the state institutional website
- Tour Area: introduction to the town and indication of tourist itineraries with location and geolocated map
- Events area: indication of current and scheduled events.
- Settings area: reset the app, change language or restart the tutorial
- Sharing of application contents (tours, places, events, etc.) on your social networks.
- Insertion of notifications for new events in the city, weather alarm, etc.
- Opening application settings from the application to enable/disable notifications.
- Display of expired events on lists, details and maps
- Sharing your location to your friends
- Calculate walking route on maps to reach your point of interest (tours, places, events, etc.)
