Very easy to use I love the masking tool as it allows me to quickly manipulate images. GIMP is useless as not designed as paint studio.
I have used Paint S for several years as the free version and now have upgraded. It does things well without me having to think about it too hard. For example if I copy an image and paste it into a Word document, the white space is automatically transparent so I can position it over other images or words without blocking them out.
I have been using MacOS for 7 odd years, coming from a Windows environment. I would have never imagined that I would miss a little app called MS Paint. I have tried several other applications, but none of them suited my use cases. This application is perfect and fills that gap, and more. I recommend this app to anyone seeking an application to anotated screenshots or make drawings to explain stuff. The application has many feaured way beyond what MS Paint offers, yet that does not get in the way of the most basic features I use most.
The "free" version is not usable even as a trial to evaluate the product due to a watermark they place in the centre of your image.
When you save your image, it will put a watermark right in the middle (it’s partly transparent, but it annoyed me that this wasn’t in the description). This isn’t a free version - it’s a crippled version.
Replaced Paint X Lite by Paint 2. For my basic use Paint 2 is perfect, no need to upgrade.
The fuctionality is great… But then it doesn’t allow you to cut and paste the image without upgrading so this makes all the other fincitonality beside the point for me.
I am not a native MAC user. I was 26 when I used my first MAC. The graphics capability of full programs is great, but not having the time to learn that, I needed something that does enough of that but was easy to use and learn FAST. Paint 2 gave an ex PC person a chance to do that. Great tool.
