Great feel in the blending brushes and great interface that can be customized to your needs. I have a big a** button for color picker to avoid missing it like in other apps, and the painting do feel great even if it is a bit slow with the bigger brushes. Using this as my main app for concepts.
Update 17 dec 2018: Another update has been born today, and, everything is getting better and better! Recommended!! ————————————————————— Update: Only one week after I discovered this amazing paint app for iPad the dev released a new better version of Paintstorm Studio... Now you can rotate the canvas with fingergestures! Super! Love this! ----------------------------------------- This paintprogram is a big surprise! Very very good, with many nice features! Five stars when it become more iPad-friendly (better fingergestures for undo, rotate and a couple of other I forgotten just now)... This is a Pro-app for real artists! Procreate is the king still, but, for how long?
I love Procreate for its accessibility, but finally we have Paintstorm . It might seem daunting at first, but it really does blow away the competition when it comes to levels of control and features. I've been a professional digital artist for a couple of decades now, and this is the first time I've felt I can work confidently without a Wacom and Desktop. Full five stars!
So many features and options! Coming from photoshop on the PC, I was content to use procreate as a sketching tool and then finish ink and touch up in Windows. But dang, paintstorm really does it all. With the Apple Pencil, it's so much nicer to just keep working on the iPad Pro. It even has a rope line stabilizer, great for inking details. That said, the UI is not the most intuitive. I was able to learn quite a bit by just playing around with it, but it's very much a program you have to learn before you can use it comfortably. It would be great if it could develop additional tools, such as more guides, such as lazynezumipro uses (ellipses, measurements on a 3D grid) would be amazing additions since the foundations for such seem to already be there. I love it. Here's hoping for its success and continued development. Cheers!
