I’ve tried half a dozen pantry inventory apps and always come back to pantry check. If I could give fractions of stars this one would be a 4.75. The one thing that would make it perfect would be the ability to upload a photo for inventory.
It would be so much easier to add a screenshot for a product from a shopping or store app rather than take a pic and have a bunch of stuff in the background or have to fiddle with the editing tools to remove it.
5 to a 3 after subscription
I was using the free version of this before I registered. I inventoried my garage and pantry. It worked beautifully!! I was able to scan the majority of my barcodes, the expiration dates were usually spot on or close. On the few items that didn’t have a barcode or wasn’t recognized; I was able to create a new item, snap a picture and clip out the background. Everything was smooth and easie peasy… until I reached the 200 items max for the free version.
I tried to register and found out I’ve already registered. Instead of giving me the option to recover my password i basically had to delete my free version then login to my account. Bummer, yeah, but it is what it is. Once I did this I start the trial 1 year subscription. Now adding things doesn’t feel as seamless and when I try to clip out the background it gives an error that only user pictures can be edited. I know, minor issue but to me it’s not; I don’t want my mess put out our there. Hopefully it’s just the 10% rule and I’ll come back tomorrow and love it again.
Love it
Love it.
Helpful to Reduce Food Waste
I tried the free version of this app for a week before buying the paid version.
Thus far I found I have a lot of work to do to reduce food waste. I made a goal to use 3 things per week that are close dated. I referred to the app while shopping and avoided buying full price items already on hand.
I would like to choose which photo to use for a product and flag erroneous photos otherwise a very good app.
Great app - but need to let it go!
I’ve had this app for a while now and even paid to upgrade my item count. I loved it. However, I want to find something to use with my phone. I was just using it on my iPad, but now I would like to have it on in my phone too, and have my inventory synced. If you ever make this compatible with Androids I will be back!
Loving It so Far
Still checking it out. It’s simple and easy to use. Will update review as I go.
Unsatisfied, even though I’m using the trial period.
The inventory portion is horrible, if you want a top notch product then you should be able to scan every single item from multiple different stores.
Don’t offer a product if it’s bellow standard principles.
We moved to a different state, however we expected an app that was more broad.
I’ll use it, however I’m not sure I want to subscribe to pay to keep using it!
Great app, no support.
I recently found out about kitchen inventory apps and have been trying them out. A few give recipes based on inventory which is a great feature. This app does not but has a smooth easy interface. I tried messaging to see if they would be adding this feature. All messages to support are returned as undeliverable.
Just be aware before you pay for premium you may not be able to reach anyone in case of an issue.
Pretty cool
Just downloaded last night and have already scanned my entire pantry in a shopping cart instead of in inventory and cannot find a way to transfer backwards.
Any suggestions?
Excellent Excellent
You will not be sorry with this application it’s the best of the best. Now if they could tie “InstaCart” with this program we would have the ultimate grocery and shopping and inventory list application. Keep up the great work Guys.
