Paper Maps

The app works great, except a few issues. 1. Paid content is only available in the device it is purchased on. There is no account to associate your purchases with, hence no portability to other devices. You will lose all of your purchases once you have to move on to another device. 2. Some paid maps (specifically BRMB Topo) had issues with purchasing and downloading. Some maps that I tried purchasing didn’t go through, and now they show as “Purchased” in the Map store (so I cannot try purchasing again), but they don’t show up in the list of Purchases. There is no way to reset this situation, short of clean-reinstalling the app (and losing all of your downloads). 3. Picking a map from a long list of downloads is a nightmare! You have to manually scroll and scan through the list. No search by name! No automatic selection by location! No jumping to a letter or any other mechanism to make selections any less painful!

I need to be able to see where I am located relative to a map of my own design. Without the use of GIS, a laptop and some involved steps, it seemed impossible. This app made it happen! And it’s simple. I’ll return to give five stars when the track feature stops causing the app to shut down.

Extremely useful for identifying state/federal land for hunting.

Easy browser to find and download topo maps of the US, and locates you on them. Perfect for hiking around in the national parks/forests outside of cell service. No frills, no ads. Thank you! Two suggestions: One I wish you could export the underlying maps as pdfs for printing, since this is a much easier browser than the National Map website. Two, there should be some sort of users guide since all the app features aren't immediately intuitive.

This is a great alternative to some of the others on the market. The team is responsive to requests and have made a stable and reliable app. Please change the icon to the standard blue dot vs the little stick figure. Speed and altitude info would also be nice. Also please add interactive waypoints so I can add photos and text descriptions to them and the ability to share them with other NextMap users. Awesome product!
