ParkUp App

I downloaded this app today when prompted with a QR code. I signed up and I got a notice that my payment was accepted. I then went into the hotel I was working a wedding at and when I packed up to leave my car was towed. The manager of the hotel I worked at said this was a frequent problem since the lot switched to this app system. I had to pay $452 due to this glitch. I hope to get some compensation.

I don’t understand why this app even exists. It shouldn’t.

Downloaded the app to pay for parking today. After entering my email to set up the account I started receiving tons of spam emails. I'm pretty sure they are selling user data.

Super convenient app especially if you come downtown a lot!

PLEASE DONT PARK THERE I PARKED MY CAR AND STATION MYSELF AND WAS THERE FOR 5 minutes FEEDING MY 2 MONTH BABY! THE WORKER CAME AND SAID YOU HAVENT PAYED YET IM GOING TO SEND A TICKET TO THE COMPANY AND THEY WILL SEND YOU A 90 DOLLAR TICKET ! I EXPLANED TO HIM THAT I BARELY PULLED UP AND HE WAS NOT THERE TO CHARGE ME SO I WAITED IN THE CAR AND WHEN HE DID GO UP TO MY CAR HE WAS ALREADY WRITING MY LICENSE NUMBER DOWN THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME IN LOS ANGELES AND I HAVE A VIDEO OF HIM BEING SO RUDE TO ME!!! I CANT BELIEVE HOW HORRIBLE OF A PERSON HE WAS! I WAS SHAKING BECAUSE I AM NOT FROM LA AND HOW WAS I SUPPOSE TO PAY THAT TICKET . HORRIBLE MAN

I’ve been duped by some of these apps near the LAX area and this was by far the most reliable and trustworthy. Even the customer service was great. Totally recommend.

I work catering as a side job and sometimes I have to find my own parking. ParkUp was recommended by my catering manager and it’s great. I just used 2x in the past few days to find parking in Downtown LA and it was so useful. The support is amazing. The first time I used I didn’t know what time my event would end and most of the parking lots have 2 prices: one for all-day, which ends at 2am and one for overnight, which goes until 11am. My event possible could have went past 2am, so I didn’t know what to do. The day off I emailed support in the morning and they responded right away. I was already shocked by that. I emailed back and forth with support to solidify what would happen and they said to pay the all-day rate, email them what lot it is and they’d let the manager know. There would be no extra charge if I was there after 2am. Well, I did end up leaving just before 2am, but I felt comfortable knowing if I did go past 2am I was okay. Not only did they help me with this, but my first use was free and they refunded my payment immediately. I ended up using the next night as well for the same lot and the attendant simply looked at my confirmation in the app and I was off to park. So easy! Highly recommend.

Recently moved to LA, so still discovering the city! One thing I’ve noticed is that parking is hit or miss and usually very expensive! It’s nice to be able see prices and parking locations ahead of time so I can plan the best and most affordable place to park. Thanks for helping me save every weekend! Zain

This app is used to pay for parking at lots without attendants. Last 8/9/2022, I paid using the app as soon as I parked. When I walked past the parking lot during my lunch break, I noticed my car was not there. I noticed tow trucks(South Coast Towing) at the adjacent parking lot towing other cars and asked a guy if they towed my car. I was asked what my car is and proof that I paid. Sure enough, the guy said that they towed it to their lot. He told me ParkUp sends them a list of which cars paid for parking and blamed Parkup for the mistake. I had to go to their lot to retrieve my car. I missed time from work because of this. The ParkUp website only has an email address as a means to contact them. I demanded to be reimbursed for the parking fee and for the time I missed work which they ended up giving to me after bugging them through email. Everyone I interacted with from the tow truck drivers to the customer support person at ParkUp seemed unapologetic and didn't care about the mistake and how they can do better in the future.

I used the app to pay for parking and location tool grabbed wrong lot. I paid $30 only to find out that I needed to pay for a different lot. No customer service within app to notify for assistance. Email address for support in legal note doesn’t work. Will be disputing charge if I can’t get in touch with someone.
