I’m an intermediate-level home cook who thought this app would be fun. It has a fantastic concept… When I first started using it, it seemed great but I have started noticing a ton of questions that are either written by AI or someone with very little actual cooking knowledge. I have encountered multiple lessons that contain outright falsehoods, or confusing wording. Amateur cooks beware!
Parsnip is an easy to use, fun app that has taught me so much about cooking. Perfect for any skill level of chef, Parsnip meets you where you are at. From purchasing, to storing, to preparing ingredients, Parsnip offers a wholistic view of the cooking process, which I’ve never experienced with any other cooking education tool. Parsnip has enhanced my skills as a cook, and made recipes and techniques accessible that had previously been too daunting to try.
This app is so fun because you play a game to get better knowledge of the said ingredients of your desired recipe. And, it’s mostly free!! Great for beginner and intermediate cooking.
