Testimonials from CFPC SAMP writers:
"I passed, PMB was super helpful."
- Sukhdeep
"I found PMB very helpful to do the quick "need to memorize" criteria for certain diagnosis. Very useful on the go, if I had 5 minutes here and there it didn't need to be a long study session. I was so glad I used it as a supplementary source to prepare. I passed!"
- Amelia
"I cleared my CCFP. PMB certainly helped. It gives a thorough review of each topic."

Great format for studying on the go and memorizing facts. It was frustrating that the app cleared its memory multiple times; all of my saved questions and progress were deleted. It would have been helpful to be able to go back over those saved questions.
App doesn’t work
I downloaded this app and the bar at the bottom is grayed out and I cannot access any of the cards. I see that this error was allegedly fixed 7 months ago but it did not work for me. Tried uninstalling and re installing. I requested a refund.
CFPC Exam
Good for quick flash cards review, don’t try to memorize everything as some content may not be 100%, however good wealth of info covering all 105 topics - makes you at least think of some topics you might have missed.
Waste of money
The questions are very vague and basic and only test your knowledge to a superficial level. It’s better than nothing but not by much. You’re better off making and reviewing your own notes.
Poorly written, quick easy money
Very disappointed. The app basically regurgitates the 99 topic objectives in a question format. Then lists 9 to 10 ‘right answers’ and cites UpToDate. It does not reflect the CCFP exam AT ALL. There are 0 cases. Just rapid fire questions. DO NOT BUY THIS USELESS APP.

Very helpful
Great app! Loved it. Really helped me to pass finally after previous unsuccessful attempts. Provides details needed for answering questions and scope required. Great for reviewing and focusing my knowledge base on key SAMP questions. I highly recommend this app.
False information, no sources
Purchased the app in preparation for CCFP. While the format is ideal (e.g. flash cards for each topic) some of the information is just wrong. For example, CHADS2 says age is >65, when in fact it’s age >75. I constantly found myself looking up information from trusted sources to confirm suspicions, making the app untrustworthy in my mind. Note sure if this is an iOS problem, but my iPhone gave no sources for any answers! Stick with Family Medicine Notes by O’Toole, The Review Course (if you can afford it), and the practice SAMPS floating around. I have no conflicts of interest, just a resident preparing for the CCFP.
Answers sourced from Wikipedia :/
A lot of the sources for answers are from Wikipedia. Not very reassuring as I would prefer the sources of information to be medical textbooks, resources, or Canadian guidelines. UpToDate is good but is also mainly focused on US guidelines so not so reassuring for Canadian exams
Good overall
Nice, simple interface. A couple of things could be better though; there is no way check off flash cards you’ve already reviewed (rather than adding them to favourites), that way you could navigate directly to new material, and if the hints were hidden and not shown with the question - maybe a button to “show hint”. Great otherwise!
