PasswordWallet - All Inclusive

Update: I discovered it had been 4 years since my review. It remains as positive as before. Still using it every day on IOS and OSX and it remains rock solid. I have used Password Wallet for many years. It remains easy to use and secure. I like the option of autotyping user name and password (on OSX) and this means that it cannot get onto the App store there. Support when I have asked for it (which related to a synch issue) was quick helpful and fixed it. Synchronisation through Dropbox is solid in my experience and allows the option of using it on other platforms (which I do not do and so cannot review the security of synch. Between iOS and OSX it works well. I set my iOS devices to manual sync and OSX automatic and this works.

For me this is the very best available. It doesn’t try to do too much, like some of the others, it just simply generates and stores passwords, syncing them across devices and/or the cloud. Can access websites from within the app, placing user and password in with the tap of an icon. Sometimes websites accessed in this way lack some functionality- eg printing, but it is very easy to access the site directly, and use the app’s inbuilt copy/paste functions for user and password, but this is seldom necessary. I have used this for many years, and have never found a better.

I really like this app. I've been using it for a couple of years and it syncs easily between my devices. The interface is clean and uncluttered with endless field options and at the press of a keyboard button it's possible to automatically fill in the address and password fields to effect an easy and swift login to various sites. Highly recommended.

I have used Password Wallet for years, And cannot Synchronize to my new iPad Please sort this upgrade out or advise Please

I've had this app for years and have been very happy with it. However I have increasingly seen warnings appearing on different web sites that the browser is out of date and now I'm finding the web sites are not allowing me to conclude my transaction because of this. I have to switch to Safari which works okay but this defeats the purpose of the app. When are you going to update the browser?

I have used PasswordWallet (PW) on Apple Macintoshes for many years and it is easily one of my favourite applications even though I do not use it very often. I use PW for not only passwords, I use it for ANY information I might require instant access to. PW has never let me down and now that I have 4 MacBook Pros and an iPad, it is even more important I make this information available to ANY of these devices. I am very pleased to see it is now available on the iPad. I hope it performs as well on the iPad as it does on my other Apple devices. I have given this App '5 stars' in anticipation that it is equally effective on the iPad as on my Macs.

I love PW. Latest update has fixed what I considered a major security loop hole. You can now choose to switch off touchID for the app in such a way that it is not possible to turn it on and access your wallet without entering your PW password initially. This gives you the option to prevent someone who has access to your phone passcode or fingerprint from gaining access. It is really not that difficult to get around touchID, for example someone can just wait until you're asleep and place your finger. So if you are in a situation where you need it to be more secure you now have the option. Someone can still access you PW if touchID is already enabled and they have your phone passcode, but this loop hole is at Apples end I guess.

I've been using this app for 4 or so yrs and without it, my digital life would fall apart. Imagine the pain when iOS 8 meant it would no longer open and I had a new phone to configure. An email to the developer was answered within 3 hours by which time I'd found the update which fixed the issue. He had received over 1000 emails about this issue and still found time to reply to me. Respect.

Some apps just don't get old. This one is brilliant and it is yet to come something that offers all this does: safe password storage, backup through e-mail, good touches like different colour for numbers and the random password generator.

Easy to use. Highly recommend.
