Passwords for Nextcloud

Get app for self hosting your own password vault. Works great with iPhone app & Google browser extension.

Why does this app need https to connect to my own server? I know what I’m doing. I can’t set up HTTPS right now, and the app works fine on the server, so why is there this artificial limitation? I thought the whole point of open-source was to not force stupid restrictions on users and to let them do what they want, even at their own expense.

Works superb!!! Maybe it is possible to import from keepass? And if a webpage is setup with appropriate details; possible that you can start that page where you need the details right out of the app? Great great job!!! Will donate

The app is a great start for a self-hosted cloud password manager. It feels raw and lack some features of a “big boys” (sharing, equivalent domains, etc...), however it does the main purpose of managing and auto-fill passwords very good.

This was working and then I set up a master password and end 2 end encryption on the server side app and it no longer works. A password manager without end to end encryption is asking for disaster.

This app doesn’t work when encryption is enabled on the server. Is it in the pipeline to make that work?

I was very happy to see that a passwords client appeared on the App Store. So far it’s working great. Thanks-a-billion to the dev(s)!

Ich verwende die App seit mehreren Monaten und sie macht alles was ich brauche. Herzlichen Dank dafür! Verbesserungsvorschlag: Für die Verbindung der App mit der Nextcloud wäre das Scannen eines QR-Codes gut geeignet. Die Eingabe von sehr komplexen Passwörtern ist schon etwas mühselig und fehleranfällig. Aber vielleicht gibt es diese Funktion ja schon und ich habe sie nur nicht gefunden. 🙂

Ich benutze die App zusammen mit meiner Nextcloud-Instanz seit ca. vier Jahren und sie funktioniert absolut fehlerfrei. Gerade auch die neue Autofill-Funktion von Einmalpasswörtern (TOTP) ist genial. Jetzt fehlt nur noch die Unterstützung von Passkeys und dann kann auch Apples neue Passwörter-App gleich in Frührente gehen😀 lediglich die Zuordnung von Passwort und Webseite könnte etwas zuverlässiger sein. Gerade bei langen URLs mit mehreren Sub-Domains werden Passwörter von einer anderen Sub-Domain vorgeschlagen. Kurioserweise jedoch nur auf dem iPad, am iPhone funktioniert zu Zuordnung deutlich zuverlässiger. Außerdem wäre es super, wenn man Passwörter auch aus der App heraus teilen könnte, dies geht aktuell nur über den Browser.
