Anyone with zero app development qualifications or skills would be able to create a better and easier to use application. There doesn't seem to be any facility to alert the customer/user on the PAYG contract to be alerted (by text, app notification, e mail etc) that their account is low on funds and requires topping up. This can leave people & businesses vulnerable as the credit on account can run out which results in the power being disconnected. The first indication of which is going into work and finding the lights won't turn on and the alarm system has gone into battery back up (if you are lucky) prior to the alarm switching off completely. This creates another problem, certainly in my case, because once I have topped up the account and want to restore my power, I have to go into a very dark room and climb on furniture/ladders to access the 'smart' meter that was retro fitted high on a wall, in order to reset the system and restore power. Only then will the lights, alarm, electricity come back on. The app is about as basic as it comes and just about functions in a way that money can be paid onto your account. The app would benefit from the ability to view in real time, monitor and change settings for the power supply via the app when ever and where ever I am. A facility to set up an auto pay system would be great which once set up (a primary & secondary bank card to be stored on the system) would top up the account with a pre determined amount when the account reaches a certain amount. So every time the account drops to say £5.00 credit, the app would automatically process £50.00 (or whatever amount the customer has chosen) from the primary card in the first instance. This way it would keep the account topped up, the power on supply and eliminate the risk of losing essential security systems. A 24/7 live chat would advantageous, even if during certain hours it was an AI chatbot as at the moment, as far as I am aware, if I have an issue out of hours for example and have lost my power supply and can't restore it using the app, that is me without power until the company opens up and can be reached by telephone the next working day. The app would benefit from an area where the customer can make account changes themselves at any time of day or night. Be able to add/remove/alter card or bank information. An area where the customer can look at their usage and filter for a particular date etc I could go on forever with suggestions on how to improve
App is fine however when it comes to taking payment it’s a 50/50 your payment will go thur and when it doesn’t go thur the money that was taken out of your bank account u won’t get it back! Till like a week later or not at all if u do phone them up they will say you need to contact your bank your bank will say they have sent the money to YU energy as intended both parties will keep sending u to each other but Yh the apps fine also y can’t we see what’s an the meter from the app wouldn’t that be 100% better
Hardly work and holds money in your account without hitting the meter
It is the worst app, I made a payment of £210 yesterday, it came out of my account, but was not added onto the meter. The same thing has happened again with a payment of £100. App has errors!
App is slow, payments often fail and there is no information regarding current balance/credit etc. It’s like a ‘build your own app’ app
Pathetic morons can’t get anything right
Slow app and hard to actually get the meter topped-up successfully without it failing.
Worst app ever! can’t see balance not very good when you don’t have direct access to meter. won’t save cards!
All round useless company. I can go on and on but you are better off paying a bit more and going with a professional company
