Pay cashless with your smartphone via QR code without registration. You never have to think about cash again and at the same time keep track of your expenses. Saving money is made easy. Whether at vending machines, in stores, restaurants, cafés or in cabs - simply use your smartphone and your preferred means of payment. With PAY WITH CHARLIE, you can use MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Diners Club/Discover, Apple Pay, PayPal or directly "pay simply per cell phone bill". And in Switzerland payment with TWINT will be also able.
How it works:

2. Enter amount to be paid or select product yourself or amount to be transferred
3. Select payment method and pay
Where are QR code payments accepted?
Vending machines and locations where mobile payment is possible are marked with a PAY WITH CHARLIE sticker. These are for example:
• Shops/Restaurants
• Market/Vending stalls
• Cabs
• Snack, beverage and coffee vending machines
• Snack boxes
• Laundromats
• Cigarette vending machines
• E-charging stations
What payment options are available?
Mobile payment via smartphone and QR code are currently available with Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Diners Club, Discover, Apple Pay and PayPal. Soon, mobile pay with QR code scanner will also be possible with Mobile Bill & SEPA Direct Debit.
Tip function & mobile payment
With PAY WITH CHARLIE you are able to give an additional tip to the amount to be paid (5%, 10% or 20%) .
With the transaction overview, you can track your payments
Directly in the app, you can view all your past mobile payments with PAY WITH CHARLIE in the transaction overview.
Use coupons and save money.
Available coupons are offered directly at the time of purchase and you can keep track of available coupons in the coupon overview.
PRIVACY is very important to us!
You don’t have to register for the app und no personal data is stored. PAY WITH CHARLIE is anonymous and all payments are encrypted.

Danke Charlie!
Wer kennt es nicht, man steht vor dem Snack- oder Getränkeautomaten, hat aber kein Bargeld oder den falschen Schein dabei. Bis eben war genau das mein Problem. Mit Charlie konnte man unkompliziert und schnell den QR-Code am Automaten scannen, die Nummer wählen und das ganze dann per ApplePay oder PayPal bezahlen und schon wurde der Artikel frei gegeben. Keine Anmeldung erforderlich. Einwandfrei, vielen Dank!
Schrott
Hier in der Firma gibt es 5 Automaten mit diesem Qr Code. Nachdem ich an Automat 1 nen Kaffee gewählt habe und auch funktionierte, wollte ich am Automat 2 noch ne Bifi holen . Keine Chance. Erst nach löschen der App und neu installieren funktioniert das. Von daher absoluter Schrott!
Nicht so toll
Grundsätzlich ist die App ganz nett, aber wenn ich jedes Mal mein PayPal Konto mit SMS bestätigen muss und das in doppelter Ausführung finde ich diese App sinnlos und nutzlos, weil es mir nicht Zeit erspart, sondern nur kostet.

Kein Paypal auswählbar
Wollte an einem Snackautomat bezahlen. Apple Pay klappte nicht - vermutlich, da dort eine Girocard hinterlegt ist. Paypal wurde gar nicht erst angezeigt. Für mich also nutzlos.
Funktioniert nicht!
Wollten spät nachts im Hotel noch was vom Automaten holen. Man konnte weder die Zahlungsmittel auswählen noch hinzufügen. Aktion immer abgebrochen. Sorry, aber die schlechteste App die ich seit langem probiert habe.

Ich habe mich von einem Verkaufsautomat „überreden“ lassen, die gefühlt hundertste App zum Bezahlen zu installieren - der Automat fürs Frühstück akzeptierte nur Bargeld oder eben „Pay with Charly“. Die gängigen und überall problemlos funktionierenden Standards wie Apple Pay: Fehlanzeige. Also gut. App installiert, alle von ihr erbetenen Rechte eingeräumt, und sie macht - nichts. In Schritt 1 wird der QR-Code des Automaten gescannt. Aber Schritt 2 wird gar nicht aktiv. App Neustarten, neuer Versuch: es bleibt dabei. QrCode wird gescannt, danach bleibt die App hängen. Das war’s dann auch. Ende des Versuchs einer App, deren Sinn wohl auch nur darin besteht, die Gebühren für gebräuchliche Bezahlsysteme für Automatenaufsteller und/oder den Hotelbetreiber zu sparen…
