Payback Reviews

Terrible, does not work

Jaaron Smith on

App is awful to work with first. Very clunky. Two times now we hit redeem and nothing happens. No code to scan or give, nothing. Just a redeemed coupon you can’t use.

Awful app

I rarely leave any reviews in my life but I have to leave one for this app. It made me angry enough to write one. This app is just awful. It is extremely slow to navigate. And it rolls back to the top of the page each time I clip a coupon, which is very annoying. Bring back those paper coupons!!

Navigation is terrible - I won’t purchase next year

No app support, Disney on Ice code invalid

Ldandrea on

United States

As much as I love the idea of mobile coupons, I may not recommend this or may even advocate AGAINST using payback next year at our school. The user experience is very frustrating if a coupon code doesn’t work. The Disney On Ice coupon code says “invalid code”. You cannot get questions asked concerning issues with the app as there is no way to contact anyone. Even in the App Store the app support link goes nowhere. To me this is bad business practice. How hard would it be to manage an email account to address issues? Not hard.

Currently unusable / no way to reset password

TheHotstepper on

United States

Conceptually I’m curious as the paper books were a wonderful fundraiser for our kids’ school, but the password reset button does not appear to work: My first impression was getting locked out with no way to access my book after having entered a code and logging out having accidentally lost the password.

Why? Why? Why?

***Don’t waste your money and time on this fundraiser.*** I love technology but this app is so bad! ***You gotta do better than this for fundraising. *** >>>>The redemption code is a joke! One could easily redeem your subscription code by guessing. Someone will probably steal your code before you can even redeem it. >>>>The participating stores and services “offers” aren’t hardly worth redeeming . >>>> It’s search capabilities are nonexistent. You can’t even type a partial name of a participating vendor/restaurant for a “fuzzy” search. Bring back the paper books until you can get the app working appropriately AND so you can actually use offers and share the coupons with your family and friends.

Horrible

Unusable. Freezes. Can’t search. Luckily my money went to a good cause for the schools.

Miss the paper coupons

Go back to the old books on

United States

I had to do a phone update to get the app to work. But I still find it very hard to search and find the merchants I like to use. If you put the full business name in, they don’t come up, but if you put a few letters in it does, along with a lot of others you have to search through. But my biggest frustration is the merchants don’t know how to use these coupons. We’ve been denied twice now saying they only take paper coupons. I’ve always loved this fundraiser and bought multiple books and this might be my last year. ☹️

Needs a Complete Overhaul for Better Usability

Kp350 on

United States

While it's nice to have an app like this, the overall user experience is frustrating. Unlike several users, I was eventually able to log in, but that’s where the positives end. The app is difficult to navigate, and it feels like it needs a complete makeover. One major issue is browsing through stores or restaurants—it’s a hassle to scroll through endless pages just to find what you're looking for. This could be easily fixed with a better filtering or search feature, but as it stands, it's incredibly time-consuming. I hope the developers prioritize usability in future updates because, in its current form, it’s more of a frustration than a convenience.

Wow

Bradley98685 on

United States

When I redeem a code there is no coupon to scan for the employees working at the locations. It just redeems and disappears and I can’t get a discount. You’d think it would shoot up a QR code or something they can input or scan. Also you’d think there would be a history tab with coupons that have been redeemed but not scanned it’s just an awful app.
