Payroll Calculator Canada

I tried running this app on my mac. it calculates fine, but could use some helpful features. It has the option to choose bi-weekly payments, but not to enter the bi-weekly amount. you have to divide the amount by two and then choose the weekly amount. The app requires an hours worked per week, but what if the employee is paid by commission and not hourly or is a delivery driver and is paid by the km? It needs an option to print the results. For now it’s a good alternative to the glichy CRA Online Calculator. Let’s see some updates and improvements.

The good old version allowed for extremely quick calculations and tweaking parameters like effective date. The new one is not only super slow to navigate through but is very restrictive and doesn’t allow/extend the same options as before. Gotta uninstall it until the mess is cleaned up. You’re not doing any users any favour by making the app less useable and oh so less desirable. Fancy graphics mean squat if the functionality and ease of use take a beating!

This version you cannot choose the tax year. I miss the old version

I miss the original version that was all on one screen. Having to click through multiple pages to get to the end is time consuming and frustrating. The old app was superior to this one. Bring the original back please!!

This version is complicated you should listen to the feedback from the people using it. 1. in the settings, you should be able to set the province if you need it to ask it that each time it’s annoying. 2. It shouldn’t be multiple pages last version was on one page and it made it easier to flip back-and-forth. 3. Why does it ask for the hourly rate when it you’re putting in the weekly rate or monthly rate this doesn’t make sense by the time we’re picking up this app we already know how many hours. 4. Just make the old app style optional. You messed with a good thing April 26, 2023! And by the way, it also says that the app isn’t available in most regions when you go to the App Store. Yes in Canada!

Hello, Please bring back the old version where I can do varying calculations based on the income using hourly, weekly, quarterly, yearly or monthly rate This new version is difficult to use in the sense of I need to flip many pages to update certain info. Also I cannot change the parameters in the result as it will always give me biweekly salary info. But there are times when I want weekly, monthly or quarterly. Also the one page section where we can insert the info is much better than multi page in the new app.

The previous version was far, far better for quick pay calculations. Rather than add / correct some calc features in the old version (inability to calc correctly overtime / statutory pay, or vacation pay payouts - which the vac pay & overtime could be simple settings with the advanced features), the developer has made the utility of the app worse - by making one go back and forth between multiple screens). The best aspect of the old version was the usefulness of doing quick ‘what if’s’ ie what’s the pay at X rate vs X rate + Y. The new version doesn’t allow for one to quickly do so. :(
