Pdb App: Personality & Friends

Strange but.. ok!

PDB was originally a typology forum that you would access online to discuss the topic of personality. There would be a focus on information and ideas that related to personality. Now, the site has gone from a place for fruitful discussion to a monetised app that is posturing as a “place to make new friends” rather than a place of intellectual discourse.

used to love this app, it was really simple and useful for finding info on all the typology systems, now its just a chore a use. the developers added way too many gimmicky pop ups and ai bull crap that clutters the homepage (that btw, nobody asked for) and just makes the app frustrating to navigate. and now im getting 40 second ads every time i try to open a characters page. i understand getting ads maybe every couple of minutes but if i get one nearly every single time i try to quickly check a character’s typology and i have to close the app and reopen it every 20 seconds to avoid it, it makes the app almost unusable and straight up irritating on top of all the other stuff u have to scroll through just to get to the stuff that the app was intended for

I wish they were more characters but it’s such an amazing app!!

Rarely do I get the search results I’m looking for. I’ll type in the name of someone or something and it won’t pop up. Often times I’ll have to go through pages of results, or maybe, weirdly enough, I’ll get lucky if misspell the name intentionally.
