PDF Cropper FAQ
Is PDF Cropper free?
PDF Cropper is not free (it costs 9.99), however it doesn't contain in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is PDF Cropper legit?
⚠️ The PDF Cropper app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
This app is truly useless. I bought it to crop an 8-page document which someone scanned with too much black around the margins. I would crop a page no problem, but the pages don’t STAY cropped; by the time I finished page 8, the first few pages had gone back to the way they were. They’re no way to “save” the cropping. Completely useless.
Barely works
I just want to crop my pdf very simply but the app only allows a set page size range. It won’t let me crop a legal size at all. For this being the focus of the app, it’s remarkably bad!
Pretty good
I have 2100 images to crop so this app has been a big help. Just wish I could zoom in better. On really long screenshots its extremely diffucult to see what Im doing.
It's ok
It does the job, but the user interface feels clunky. For example:
- There is no File → Open dialog. You need to go to a button somewhere.
- You can crop, but it doesn't automatically help you crop by snapping to the first pixels when getting close to it. It's all manual in a tiny window that cannot be enlarged.
- Even after painfully choosing your crop, you cannot store it as a preset. So you have to do this for every file.
- There is also no File → Save dialog. I had to right-click a filename in the left panel of the UI, then click "Share" and that opened a file save dialog.
A Waste of My $1.99
The app is very limited in its ability to crop. You are offered options to crop to the size of various device screens, or to specify a dimension, or to do any of a number of “unlimited” size cropping, but that does not work well if you do not know the dimensions of, let’s say, of a part of an article you want to preserve in crop. And if the article is very long, as in a web page that was saved as a PDF, you are unable to zoom in on the article to even see where you want it cropped. I am very disappointed.
Perfect! Does what it should. simple and efficient
This app is a godsend for me, a student gone paperless with GoodNotes.
I can now crop the pages to have just the right width so that my pages won’t wobble due to inconsistent width,
and crop pages to the perfect length as well, to leave out any information I don’t need, which saves me a lot of time from scrolling through the needless margin.
I saw the negative reviews and thought that’s weird...
Maybe this app came a long way though the versions.
I just came at the right time to scoop up the most refined result.
It has options to crop all pages by the same selection at one time, or to crop single pages within a multi-page PDF file, and I have use for both.
All in all, thank you for satisfying this niche but very much essential demand!
Don’t waste your money.
Things like your document being in landscape vs portrait thwart this app. Complete rip-off.
Bad App
I just paid $2 for this app and it will import and crop a document, but I cannot export. Every time I click the export button the app crashes. I have tried this multiple times. On top of this I cannot find a way to contact the developer. I want a refund! This app is useless!
Redesign Broke App
App worked fine until the latest update/redesign. I used this to crop my Labels to be printed from Mercari and WhatNot applications. Now I can no longer crop my labels, when you crop now everything turns white, and there is no longer a way to print once cropped! Shouldn’t have messed with a good thing! Now the app is a waste!
Works as advertised
I needed an app to crop single PDF files. This is the only one I found in the App Store that worked (or that was sufficiently intuitive for me to use). It worked well for what I needed.
