PDF Search

Since the last update, I can’t index a file of 165 MB. Initially it starts the process to index, then the app stops by itself.

L’IA au service de la recherche en texte intégral ; l’idée est très bonne mais malheureusement il y a des bugs au niveau de l’indexation… parfois le moteur se mélange les pinceaux et remonte des pages où le terme recherché est absent… Encouragements toutefois au concepteur ! Steve

I’m using it to search within my Aviation manuals, and that’s the best tool I found so far. Just that I have to use it in coordination with goodreader as it’s very limited in terms of cloud protocols. I would love to have Nextcloud or if not possible nextcloud. Sharepoint is missing too.

I am very unhappy with this app, for which I bought the PRO feature. Since the new update, it just keeps on crashing. So I have tried to remove all of my papers in it and to import them again. But now I cannot even import them! (I use a freshly bought iPad Pro 2018) And since I cannot sync with my OneDrive account, I am stuck. Guys, what is the point of an app with top-notch searching capabilities if you cannot even do a simple action such as importing a document? UPDATE 30/11/19: The app has stopped crashing upon starting. I bought an iCloud subscription a couple of weeks ago because I really needed this to work. All of my documents are in the folder on the iCloud now, but 20% of them refuse to be indexed. I manually ask for indexing but the app crashes after 60% of them are indexed and all the indexing done is gone. I contacted support and will update here on the progress. Slightly less disappointed than before but still not happy as a paying customer.

Cet outil me permet de faire des recherches par mot ou expression clef vraiment très vite et avec précision. Premier essai fait sur 80 textes de 200 pages en moyenne, quelques secondes suffisent pour avoir le résultat. Les outils d'annotation sont un peu restreints mais l'app semble évoluer au fil du temps. Assistance technique efficace au besoin. Globalement très content.

The app is excellent overall, but I hope one annoying issue can be fixed. When I connect my Google Drive to the app, it downloads all of my PDFs and other documents and indexes them locally. I have a lot of files, and when it downloads and indexes them simultaneously, the app crashes constantly. It's really inconvenient having to reopen the app again and again. I hope this issue can be fixed soon. Thanks!

I hope the developers keep adding features because the app is amazing. I use it to search for PDF documents, such as books, and is very accurate. Specially I like the search across books series where I can just type a few words of an event or character I barely remember (from some books ago in a series) and will search and find the paragraphs with the key words typed.

Cmd + F for search (with Esc to cancel search), shortcuts for navigating through document / to other documents, etc.

It’s like a personal google for your documents. I used it for school and now I use it at work. I point it at office documents and textbooks PDFs, and it gives me the results I need in one place. Unfortunately the app is faulty. Indexing will sometimes not pick up files after repeated troubleshooting attempts. Worse, pdf viewing is buggy and you will lose your view when scrolling to the next page.
