So I’ve used a lot of these PB plan apps and this is the only one that adequately solved the issue of wanting to select a pedal they might not have, simply screen shot a pick of it on line and the app lets you add it to the board with a little simply editing, brilliant
Almost there
Could be very worth purchasing, but needs more pedals, and also pedal descriptions would be nice.
Very few pedals- useless
It has almost no pedals to choose from. No Wah pedals at all. Useless.
needs updating
considering this app literally only listed one pedal i use (EHX S9) i’m giving it one star for that. there were many other common pedals but did not list:
-morley bad horsie (or ANY morleys?)
-boss rc-600
-TCE flyrig
-flamma mod
it also did not list pedalboards:
-nux bumblebee
-stompblox modular
this would probably be a cool app for most players.
Buggy
Paid for the ability to be able to do custom dimensions and I can’t even input my numbers lol Everytime I try and backspace the first digit, it won’t let me. Sigh, back to OG pedalboard planner I guess. And I really don’t like that one either
Failed App
The app does not save your boards after you set them up.
Many pedals are not listed and have to be added as custom, and I am not referring to boutique pedals.
The app needs updating and bug fixes.
Useless
So many pedals are the wrong sizes and so this app fails at it’s reason for existing.
Little questions
So can u record and is this combinable with GarageBand?
NEEDS MORE PEDALS!!!
I hoped to replace PedalPlayground with this app because it’s been so buggy and locking up on my phone, plus every time I refresh because it locks up, I keep getting Temu ads. 🙄 But this app didn’t have SO many of the popular brands that so many people use. When I tried to use “custom” to upload a pic of my Morningstar ML5, the stock block size was accurate until I uploaded a pic. My ML5 is 6.5” wide, almost the same width as my BigSky at 6.75”. The superimposed pic made the ML5 look about 2” narrower than the BigSky. When I tried to augment to dimensions, they don’t change the pic size, but if you use the blank opaque box provided, the dimensions are proper. I wanted to like this app and paid the one time fee to buy it. But now, I guess I’m going back to a buggy PedalPlayground. Disappointing.
Needs More Attention
I wanted to love this app, because Pedalboard Planner from Pedaltrain is specific to their boards. But while this app has a good foundation, the database of manufacturers — both pedals and boards — needs a lot of updating. You can add a custom board, but it somehow doesn’t work that well. Plus, it doesn’t cover Voodoo Labs, Walrus Audio, or any number of other prominent and popular manufacturers. The lost is far from exhaustive or even current. It feels like a project that was off to a good start but they lost interest (or financing) in keeping it current. I hope they find the time and financial backing to keep it updated and complete. It has the potential to be great.
