Peekaboo Forest Reviews

Had high hopes. Fell way short

The graphics in this one are vastly different than the others and seem “rushed” just to get the app out. Too much going on and only half the animals shows are good representation. Also some of the animals are very small. For winter, why oh why would you put a frog? Also, why choose a weasel but not a wolf or a bear in any of the seasons? Common forest animal that every child thinks of. I’ve had peekaboo barn for ten years now and just discovered the other apps. Peekaboo barn was simple. The continuous barn background wasn’t a distraction and easy to make out the animals pictured. I was hoping the same would be for the forest one, even if it showed different seasons. I hope the makers of the app take the time revamp this one. It could be so much better.

Waste of Money

This is not an app a toddler would appreciate. My son found it boring and scary. Peekaboo barn is best. Wish this app was cuter and more entertaining. Also, the voices aren’t very well done.

Not as good

You’d think that with people complaining about this for 7+ years that they would have redesigned this app to be more like Peekaboo Barn or Wild, but it seems they’ve decided to ride the coattails of the other two and depend on parents to buy this app because they like the others even though it’s terrible. Not nearly as eye catching or interesting as the other two. They tried to make it super artistic but it’s just not geared towards children. Very frustrated that I spent money on this because it was a waste.

Great for language building!

I love using this app in speech therapy. The kids love it and it almost feels open-world, like you can just explore. Each scene has several animal friends to find, which you see with the rustling of leaves or a tail behind a stump. You can ask what questions, label animals, imitate the sounds your hear, and more! I highly recommend this app!

Not as good as Peekaboo Barn!

My one-year-old loves Peekaboo Barn, so I bought the package to get four other Peekaboo apps. He does not like any of the other Peekaboo apps like he does Peekaboo Barn. The other ones just aren’t as fun. I would not suggest getting the package.

No menu, choice

This app is not as easy to use, you don't get to choose where to go. The animals are too small to see well. i love Charlie Harper, but these animals do a disservice to his illustrations. No real interaction for child to feel engaged. Disappointed

Boring

Lolo molo on

My 20 month old loves Peek-a-Boo Barn but this one is so boring compared to that one. It's slow, dark, and you can barely see some of the animals. She gets frustrated with it.

Love It!!!

I am in love with this app! The graphics and illustrations are beautiful with a distinct sophisticated style. I love the real jungle feel and overall calm atmosphere while you hunt for animals. I highly recommend this app

Sorry I downloaded

Small, not well animated, boring for toddlers. Get the other peek a boo apps instead.
