Peggle Blast Reviews

Money Grubbing / Ad Fest

WADERxD on

United States

Great game play, creative designs, fun music and sound, but it all comes crashing down with abnormally long Ad infestation attacks as the game progresses coupled with the constant pestering for cost prohibitive upgrades when you fail a level. I might have even purchased the upgrades but they want too money and too often. Sad deal, because the earlier renditions of Peggle were legit winners with super fun moments of exhalation and were completely free from this rapaciousness. Way to go EA, wrecked a good time/ experience with greed, plain and simple.

love Peggle but…

why does it end at 208? please add more levels, this is disappointing

Do not bother

Peggle is a great game. This version is entirely ruined by forcing adds after every attempt at a level whether you win or lose and you can’t stop them. It makes it unplayable.

Too many ads

Alexis2548 on

Great game, but way too many ads to the point it greatly lowers the playability of the game. Every round you have to watch a few to advance and they are not short.

Won’t keep track of my progress

Traparella on

United States

No matter how far I’ve gotten in the game (up to level 45), it always resets me to level 25 the next day. I can’t keep playing if there’s no one for the game to save my progress… it’s frustrating being forced to play the same levels over and over again. I am even signed in on Facebook and Apple, have tried using wifi, no wifi, no cellular data, etc. without any help.

Designed to pull you in with easy levels, then squeeze you for every dime you have

Why do I do this thingy on

United States

This is nothing at all like the original Peggle game. You can tell the only hand PopCap had in this game was artwork. EA has single-handedly crushed yet another beloved title into the ground with unbearable ads, microtransactions, awful gameplay (looking at you, Fnord), unfair randomness to some levels that almost force you to either play the same level for days on end (because you have to wait nearly 3 1/2 hours to get more 'lives) or spend real life money on power-up balls/lives. EA acts like it's customer base are all millionaires with lottery winnings to burn. This company is so out of touch with what made games like Peggle great in the first place, they wouldn't know it if it smacked them in the mouth with the force of Mike Tyson.

Not saving my progress

Peggle not happy on

United States

I like the game, but I have beat the same levels over and over and over. Last night I had beaten level 98 and this morning I am back at 92. This has been happening. The button to get “help” is not helpful. There’s no where to submit a ticket, just “frequently asked questions”.

Great game ruined by ads and extortion

Jemtree on

United States

Peggle is an awesome game, and Peggle Blast has the same magic and fun from the best previous iterations of the series. However, some levels have been designed to be nearly unbeatable unless you spend money on power-ups, get extremely lucky on directions of bounces, or have a knack for trigonometry in your head. Worse, the game is full of pop-up ads between levels or even during levels later. I’d love a “buy full game” option instead of this money-grubbing garbage.

Just Awful Compared to Original

HKHTKH on

United States

EA is the most embarrassing game company, this is no secret. All of your out-of-touch teams think that re-hashing an old game will make it appeal to new/younger audiences while increasing profits while in reality you just keep ruining games that used to be best sellers. Keep walking in circles EA.

PopCap threw ENJOYMENT out of the window.

Peggle is a superior game and it’s a legendary experience that can’t be denied. It’s awesome. There’s so many great moments and thrill that you’ll be playing for a long time before boredom strikes. But Peggle: Blast is an abomination. I’m so sad that PopCap ruined what seemed like an awesome idea. This Review shows what I would have added to Peggle: Blast. #1 - Free Daily Boost The first thing I would add is a way to get more boosts without completing missions. If we could get UniCoins for completing tasks or getting an extra green or purple peg for logging in daily the game would be more fair. #2 - More Levels Peggle Blast has 208 levels. Why do I think we should add more? Because Peggle itself is addictive. To fully “beat” peggle many attempts are needed. 400+ levels should be susceptible considering the free daily boosts. #3 - Level 60 Nerf Yeah just make Level 60 free please beginners are crying #4 - Challenges At the end of each world, there should be five bonus levels called Challenges that the player can beat for a prize. They should be tailored toward using each master’s power in a strategic way. #5 - Make it Fun! Peggle: Blast is pretty boring. Make more opportunities for style shots so players go for them more. #6 - Add some nostalgia! Maybe add a Zen powerup which is basically the Zen Shot but in Blast!
