INK
Draw ink with your finger. Resize, recolor, and move your doodles.

TEXT
Add text and text boxes. Change alignment, fonts, color, and install additional fonts. Perfect for adding comments to PDF.

SHAPES
Add geometric primitives, arrows, curves, and polygons Use the built in diagram elements and arrows to create diagrams. Create clip art of portions that you wish to reuse. shapes can be colored using gradients and fill with patterns. Use "rough" outline to make it look more like a drawing.

ZOOM AND SPLIT VIEW
Zoom more than 10 times to edit and draw even tiny details. Use split view (iPad only) to see full page view or look at another page

Include photos. You can crop and rotate photos.

BOOKMARKS
Add bookmarks to navigate in your documents

PDF SUPPORT AND SLIDE NOTES
Import and annotate PDFs from other apps or Files. Use any of the built-in "Slide Note" templates to annotate presentations. When you are done export as PDF again. Use the "clone" tool to copy a portion a PDF and marker to mark text in the PDF for easy search.

SHARING
To share your notes with the world, simply email them as PDF. You can also extract individual pages as JPEG images.

LAYERS
Use the layer list to organize order of shapes and ink on the page

PAGE STYLES
Pen and paper comes with a variety of page styles, but you can also create your own. Import a PDF of your favourite page style and store it as a "page style" in the app.

ICLOUD SUPPORT
Documents, clipart and page styles, can be stored in iCloud.

FONTS
Are the built-in fonts not interesting enough? Install extra Truetype fonts from sites like FontSquirrel and Blambot within the app.

Below average note taking app

Bought this to take notes at university. Really unhappy with the fact you can only write/draw with a fountain pen which personally makes my writing look scruffy. Also unhappy with the fact you cannot zoom in when writing meaning it’s quite difficult to write with the Apple Pencil. Would not have bought if I knew you could not change pen type or zoom in.

Exactly what I wanted

I do lots of rough freehand site sketches for scanning and emailing to suppliers and contractors for them to prepare quotes. This app was very easy to learn to use and enables me to sketch, add photos in the relevant position and email my sketch - with a wifi connection- before I leave site. Productivity and speed of response to my customers has improved. Well worth the purchase on the first job alone.

Best notebook yet

I have tried several notebook apps as I want to have a book that I can carry round with me at work, make notes to plan lessons, scribble reminders to myself as issues come up, etc etc. what makes this app so good is the pinch zoom. I am not in the market for an app that will allow me to write lines and lines of neat handwriting (others are probably better at this) I simply want a live, working scribble pad, notebook, diary and this app is perfect. By dividing the page up into rectangles that are the same shape as the page you can enlarge them, write in lots of details on a "issue of the day", and then reduce it until you need it again. I also find that a simple 6x6 grid is a good "to do" device as you can add as much detail as you like having pinched and zoomed, and you can use the copy paste facility to move the tasks around into your "must do next" top line. The flexibility of import export and the ability to create your own templates within the app or outside it and import them in is another plus.

Good update but need to improve

I am very glad the app's update. The paper is not moved unexpected. I like the app, at least don't like 'notes plus' cheating customer. Notes plus is rubbish, it use picture mislead customer. When I bought the app, I though I can write words like the picture showing, but finally I find the words are typed using hand writing style. I am very angry for that cheat behaviour. Whatever, anyway, I have some suggestions, comparing your and notes plus, this app have good hand writing, but not enough, I still write uglily words, I trust my hand writing, so I definitely know it's not my fault. Part of the pen, part of the app. I hope you can update the app, which can auto remedy our writing, such as if we chose some optional like 'Cambria', when we write down a word, the system auto remedy our writing to 'Cambria' style. I have other suggestion about muti-touch problem, I have found a mac app, which can test the area of touch, in my opinion, since the pen touch area is always smaller than hand touch, is that possible limited the area in an range. So only pen can be detected. Thanks.

Needs more polish

More updates, BUT still you can't type text over a photo or illustration. SAME PROBLEM AS PREVIOUS VERSION I bought this to replace another note app I use, and the multiple colours and fluid drawing and simple addition of typed text are pretty good, plus zooming unlike Penultimate, BUT your can't type text over an illustration, even when using the 'in front' button in the properties. This simple error needs to be corrected as it's now made it unusable for me. I large part of my usage is illusion and annotation to photos, so this can't so what I need. A huge flaw in my opinion. Please correct the major flaw, if it did work and the photos were of a night resolution when placed it would be a 5 *****, but it's only a 2** and deletion until fixed and updated.

It's ok

Works ok as a notepad, photos added are quite small and so a bit out of focus/pixelated when size increased (I did screenshot of google map to add directions to via this app)
