Update: 5 stars and wish I could give 10! The developer (this is a one-man show!) reached out and found the issue. The fix took less than a minute, everything is restored and I’m back to cooking my favorite rrcipes! This is a fantastic app and I look forward to using it for years to come. Thanks Will! Original review: I was one of the original users when the app first became available and as such the cost was for a lifetime of use. I recommended it to many people, all of whom loved it. While it’s been awhile since I used it, but when I opened it today to find all but 1 of my nearly 100 recipes gone and the message that the “free” version only allows me to save 15 recipes! I loved this app but now find it not only useless but need to figure out where I got those missing recipes and print them as I can’t rely on this app to save them! What happened?!
Love everything about the app. Wondering if anyone has/is working on integrating grocery store apps to add the store aisle a shopping cart item is on Thanks for the great resource!
Love the app three only thing is I wish they would really enhance the shopping list. Maybe add the ability to add pictures to the name of the item on the list, maybe ability to add store name where we purchase the item, obviously the quantity, and maybe it labels the items in terms of dairy, bread, pasta etc. Then I can give it that five star review
The only recipe app I’m using and that I’m never deleting. Updates come often, sometimes really big updates that add amazing features (such as the recent ‘import recipe from instagram’ feature). If you collect a lot of recipes from all corners of the internet, like a hands free experience while cooking, want to scale recipes, edit recipes, write your own recipes, then this is the app for you. And if there happens to be a bug, you can be sure that it’ll be fixed. I’m impressed with this developer!
Pestle has been my go to app for storing recipes since 2022 and it just keeps getting better and better. The ability to add from instagram is clutch!
And deleted all my recipes, logging into my account doesn’t bring anything back
I love this app. It’s beautiful. It’s simple. It does everything I need a recipe app to do. I have tons of physical recipe cards and PDFs that Pestle makes importing easy (with some minor formatting). I love the tagging system and smart folders and how customizable these features are. The only thing I WISH this app did that it doesn’t, is let me see all my recipes in a full screen grid when I’m on my iPad. I have hundreds and hundreds of recipes. I get that I could just organize them into categories to make it easier to find stuff. But sometimes I just wanna zoom out and look at the recipes I’ve collected as a whole. It drives me nuts that I cannot do this. 😞
My favorite and most used app ever! Everything finally in one place. No ads, no need to find the "jump to recipe" button - your favorite recipe is converted into step-by-step pages and can be scaled up or down as well as converted for units. So many other features that make cooking a breeze! This has changed my entire way of meal planning, shopping, and cooking — freeing up more time than I thought possible! The other huge plus is that I am not throwing away unused food anymore. I buy exactly what the recipes call for - all right there in my shopping list. You will pay for the pro version easily with what you save on food waste.
First, let me say, I love the app. It’s the easiest app I’ve ever used (and I’ve used a lot over time) to import/consolidate recipes from multiple sources. However, I have a couple of asks for future releases…. 1) Would love the ability to add custom categories/cuisines 2) Need the ability to be able to sort/group bookmarks 3) Would be nice if the app could identify duplicate entries (not name but actual recipe) One issue I encounter rather frequently is when I save a recipe and the app says it’s created a bookmark, but when I go into the app, the bookmark is no where to be found. It would be nice if you can isolate what causes this to occur and either provide steps to prevent or totally eliminate the issue. I have reported this issue before. Overall, very, very satisfied!!!
