We’re travelling around Australia in a big van and it’s great to have confidence you’re filling up at the best price. Prices can differ greatly in just a few kms. Seems to be always up to date.
Look at fuel app for the cheapest get there and it’s more expensive then what app said
The graph is really handy planning for the bottom of the cycle. I REALLY want to see diesel graphed!!!
Does as it says. Excellent app that has saved me loads, especially during holiday periods.
I fine this a good app to check my area and it can be a variable difference.
Was working fine, now I can’t submit updated prices when filling up. “Update Failed Network Error” I have signed out, back in. Deleted app and added back, also deleted login and recreated. Still giving me latest updates of fuel price all by NSW Fuelcheck though, no one else! Very frustrating!
Like others I have been receiving “Hackers are watching you!” popups when opening the app. Suggest uninstalling until the issue is resolved. DONOT tap “OK” to remove viruses that don’t exist. Why can’t we pay to get rid of these ads.
Petrol Spy Australia allows ads which target the vulnerable and tech illiterate in hopes to scam them by pretending their phone has been hacked and that the ‘hacker’ has compromising data on them. Typical advertising in mobile apps is fine and to be expected, but hosting third party scams through lies and blackmail is unacceptable and should be widely condemned by the community. Petrol spy have sold out their values. They provide a product to help people save a few bucks here and there and in the same breath allow them to be scammed for hundreds more. Don’t be fooled.
Yesterday when opening the app, I came across an ad pop-up telling me my iphone had been hacked and I needed to press the “ok” button to get instructions on how to remove the malware or else all my photos and browser history would be released. This would probably have led to downloading actual malware or provide remote access to a scammer. I can see many users would instinctively press on the ad, as it looked identical to the format of the iphone message banners on screen. I tried to report the ad via the app but doesn’t seem possible, and likewise via the Apple Store. So I am leaving this review in the hope it gets noticed and the app developers start pay attention to what ads are running on their platform.
