App constantly crashing
As another reviewer states, you are forced to log in EVERY TIME but I don’t bother because it offers nothing. I hate to review things so poorly but this application is terrible. Clearly the UI people don’t talk to the UX. There is not point keeping the application.
This app and lock works pretty well other than occasionally showing the wrong status. This really needs a widget just for unlock and lock. The steps needed to get to locking it as I’m heading out to work is cumbersome
Non responsive. Have to constantly log in every time it updates. It could be in the middle of the night and you could he chased by a robber and you get to the app and it turns out you need to log in. How is this so difficult to fix?
Glad I tried app before installing lock. Can’t create an account using Apple or Google - the “create account” step drops into a dead end / loop where it wants to bind to an existing account. It’s asking for email and user name - I have neither because I am going through the steps of creating a new account. On the bright side, seeing this extreme dysfunction up front saved me the hassle of installing and experiencing all the logout and bad status and inability to add fingerprints and the many other (now credible) complains about the app. I’ve worked at 10 software companies - any one of these revenue-killing bugs would be ringing alarm bells for devs and execs. Philips is a hardware company stuck in a 2010 mindset about the app side of smart devices - just outsource the app dev, do as little support as possible, CX not even on radar. This matters because some users say it worked and then updates broke it. So I cannot trust it.
There’s a lot of things that need to be fixed on this app. Here are a few that come to mind: 1) The app signs you out after a few days or weeks, and there’s no notification. This causes the lock to be out of sync. 2) There’s no warning for low battery. My lock just stops working and again, the app is out of sync or just stops working with no error detailing the reason why. 3) The fail/success messages on the app have been wrong lately. For example, I’ll add a pin, then it will say something like “Failed to add pin” but then I restart the app and the pin is added. 4) I haven’t been able to use the Add Fingerprint functionality on the app. Error message always occurs. I think these problems have gotten even worse with the newest version that was recently released. It’s pretty important to have a working app for a lock on a door. This is my home security, and it’s not a good feeling when I can’t lock or unlock the door to my home. I like the lock itself, but please fix the app that controls it.
Since latest app update on or about 10/09/24 the app no longer updates current device status. Shows locked when its’s not and vice versa. Status only updates when I restart app multiple times. When checking for firmware updates the screen just blanks. Wasn’t an issue a week ago
This needs to be fixed as soon as possible. This was PERFECT, but now all of a sudden the lock/unlocked sensor is wrong and it won’t allow us to auto lock our door. This is absolutely a security item (now issue) for us and this needs to be fixed, or back to Amazon it goes.
Logged me out and now says my account does not exist. Unable to create a new one. Astonishing that Phillips would let something this broken ship.
Broken app does not reflect the proper lock status of the door all the time. Logs you out every day. iPad support is minimal and mostly broken. Seems to become more buggy over time.
