Photo Backup for Synology

Great functionality and works reliably, always. Excellent range of options and super easy to set up. Brilliant.

This program is flawless. I have been searching for weeks and weeks different apps different programs to find a program that will back up the ALBUMS and FOLDERS containing the photographs created on my iPhone perfectly. I cannot emphasise enough, how good this program is because it we’ll backup all your albums, including the pictures inside the album, a brilliant package. That’s Synology for you.

Great app, found its loads quicker not using the quickconnect name and going direct over IP.

It’s constantly asking me for my multi factor code. Try to change the folder and it resets itself. Utter garbage - waste of £35. **Update** Was a little wonky to get setup at first. It had a weird loop where I would login, change the folder location, then it would ask me for my 2 factor code, then it would reset the folder location and the cycle would start again. Eventually got it working and the app works really well. Although annoying at first, this was worth the investment.

This is a great and also neat app. When I had a problem because lifetime pro purchase was not recognised by the phone, I had a clear concise mail straight back from support which fixed it. The functionality of pro is well worth the money.

This was working well until I updated to IOs13. Now it’s missing photos or uploading them as adjustments.plist files, which cannot be viewed. Can you update?

Much better than the synology app

Though this would be useful, but right from the start it doesn’t work. I don’t use home folders on my Syno, on the settings where the default path is Home/photo backup doesn’t work for me, but trying to change that just crashes the app every time, also I have 2FA on my NAS so not sure if this also causes the app to crash! All in all not a good start!

I downloaded the free version of the app to try. Seemed to work well apart from pausing every 30 photos and needed user input to restart backup. Option to auto backup only available on paid version. So I bought it so as to have auto backup available. Took 28 photos today 100 miles from my house. It states that the app periodically checks when location changes then will auto back up. Still waiting 6 hours after last photo was taken and travelled 100 miles back home. As well just using free version. I’m using IOS IPhone 8.
