***** Compatibility *****

If your TV is compatible with chromecast, photo cast will work. In other words, all you need is an HDMI port on your TV.

The picture is optimized for your TV's resolution so you will be making the best of your TV. All resolutions are supported

***** Mobile HotSpot (MiFi) users *****

If your WiFi is powered by a Mobile HotSpot (MiFi), your MiFi device may need additional configuration to allow your chromecast dongle to request images from your iPhone/iPad on port 8081/8082 over HTTP. It may just work out of the box, but we recommend trying the following steps if it doesn't:

1. Port filtering should either be completely disabled, or if enabled, HTTP communication should be allowed on port 8081 & 8082
2. Privacy separation should be disabled
3. If all fails, enable port forwarding with these settings
- protocol: HTTP
- port range: 8081 to 8082
- destination ip: the ip address of the iOS device running photo cast

***** Important Notices *****

- Cloud-powered slideshows will automatically upload your photos to a private cloud.
- If you experience frequent buffering with videos, make sure that both your chromecast and your iPhone/iPad have a good wifi signal reception. Should all else fail, pick a lower resolution.

Nothing better than seeing your photos on a BIG screen!

Very capable and simple to use.

Have tried a few apps like this but this is the best one I have tried. Has been simple to use and show photos on a chrome cast. Allows you to create special albums to show and also cast videos.

Fed up

Terrible pointless app you may as well crap on you’re hands and clap!

Photos are never centered of fill the screen

Using the app with the latest iPhone and Sony Oled TV. Images are never centred and never fill the screen no matter the resolution or aspect ratio of the photo. Have tried all options. Not recommended.

Good app easy to use

I really like this app. Easy to use, just select photo and then the chromecast to cast to and photo displays on the TV. The only downside is there is insufficient help and no way to contact the developer. I’m having an issue with the video tab where some videos have a red exclamation mark on them but I can’t find help on how to resolve this.

iPad casting

Only app I could find that casts imovies.

Does not cast full screen

I tried the free version and was happy enough. But the photos were not full screen and the had a watermark. I thought that by purchasing the plus version my photos would now appear on the tv in full screen. Just like Google Photos casting. However this is not the case. It’s exactly the same size and quality of the free version but without the watermark. If I had known this I would not have paid for the full version. I feel cheated. Not sure why it can’t be displayed like google photos is. The photos are all stored on the iPad so it’s not a cloud issue. Very disappointed and I complained to Apple for a refund but was told I don’t meet the criteria! 🤬. Buyer beware!
