The first widely available mobile multi-touch piano, Pianist has been featured in a number of Apple advertising campaigns and was one of the 'Awesome iOS4 Apps' in an Apple iTunes promotion. Sound On Sound magazine listed Pianist in its pick of the Top 20 iPhone Apps, and T3 Magazine in its Top 100 iPhone Apps. Pianist has also been recommended by media sources such as the Mail On Sunday and Fox News. Pianist is considered so influential that it has now been listed as one of three examples of musical instrument apps in the primary academic reference: "The Grove Dictionary of Musical Instruments".

- Full 88 key piano keyboard sampled from a real piano for maximum authenticity.

- Record and save your compositions for later playback. Overdub as many times as you want, and remove unwanted notes.

- Virtual "Soft" and "Sustain" pedals, and expression depending on where you press the key.

- Optional dual keyboard layout allows you to reach even more keys without the need to scroll. Up to four octaves can be displayed and played at once.

- Stay in time with a completely configurable metronome.

sorry find it hard to find the right surport but been charged for this product but have not downloaded it

As good as it could be

Saving songs could be easier, but aside from that the only limitation is in the amount of keys that can be displayed, and that can't be helped.

Perfect for me

Professional singer here. This app is brilliant. Talk about convergence, I can leave another box at home now- the small keyboard I used to take with me to warm up at gigs with. New version has fake LED lights on it which can be overwhelming. Especially the LOCK lights. Could really use a clock to enable me to keep an eye on the time in order to get to rehearsals on time. This would be a great bonus over other keyboard apps, very useful for a professional. Developer gives amazing feedback. Buy this one. The others are toys.

Best piano app

Used quite a few piano app but this one is the best !!

Forget all other Piano apps..

By FAR the best - and most natural sounding of ANY Piano app on here. Other piano apps are so poorly developed with serious lag delay issues - but this app has NO lag whatsover. As mentioned - the overdubbing is fantastic (for chord structuring) and the User Interface is beautifully designed. Ignore the idiots that say 'DO NOT BUY WONT WIRK!??!!1!!LOLWTF?!' as it works 100% fine. Also if you want extra sounds - buy a real synth app like Argon, etc. The clue is in the title what THIS music app excels at.. ;)

Great

This is a good app, i especially love the overdubbing feature! I cant find that in other apps. I am however looking for something with more sounds! I know its called pianist, but i would prefer it more like a keyboard. If there is any chance of adding more sounds to it, like strings etc? It would be 5*
