This app needs plenty of work. I’ve reinstalled this dozens of times and I’ve given up. Expensive system with lousy app.
So much less than Yamaha. Poor connectivity, non-intuitive, unlike Yamaha. You can’t buy anything and that should tell you all you need to know!
This app is a disgrace. It crashes every single time I try to start a song or switch to a new song. The interface is clunky. My library files themselves disappear from the iPad when the file is deleted from a playlist (without selecting delete from device). Erroneously deleted music files orphan albums with no files in them, which cannot be deleted manually, even after repeated attempts or app resets. I’ve lost countless music files this week, none of which can I get restored because PianoDisc corrupted my download account and hasn’t been able to restore my old files to my new account. For such an incredibly expensive system, the manufacturer should be appalled. *** Update Apr 12, 2023: *** Not much has changed! Multiple major and minor updates and my library has been corrupted multiple times I’m the process. Currently my iPad can only open the app when I’ve deleted it, purged the data, and started fresh. As soon as I download my purchased items the app crashes and categorically will not open again. My iPhone will open and play the music streams, but as soon as I try to scroll thru my library, the app crashes. Can open any of my own music. Piano Disc support ghosts me every single time and tells me it must be my devices. Right…my devices. Every time. And after fresh starts and only downloading their music via their interface? No. This app is appalling.
This new edition of PianoDisc player app is not perfect but a large improvement to the older app. It is definitely a step in the right direction. Keep improving Pianodisc.
I really was hoping to fondled organize and export all the hundreds of songs I had purchased over the years from my IPod into this App but it’s been a total disaster! Can’t get them into ITunes and I can’t access the music store from the App . After making additional purchases from the music store thinking I would star fresh half of the order won’t download as it’s supposed to!! Talk about frustrating!! I spent the whole day screwing around with this trying to make it work but to no avail!!! Looks like I’m going back to my old original IPOD that it came with and I won’t be purchasing any new songs from the store!! 🤬
I’ve been waiting for Pianodisc to figure out a good modern app system for over six years. The IQ app always seemed to be clunky with a lot of bugs, syncing issues, and an odd attachment to Apple iTunes. FINALLY it all operates on its own perfectly, ditching the iTunes Store complications. I’m enjoying this new straight forward version so far.
Just not user friendly. Typing in same login on ipad that works on iPhone and it won’t login. No help option or customer service number. Just bad. Only game in town i guess so they get away with it
This app works well for a while, then they will issue an update that causes the MIDI to be garbage. A few weeks/months later it will be fixed via update, until the next update comes out which always seems to ruin it again. When it works well, I really enjoy this app. But when it doesn’t, it’s unusable. I do wish they would come up with a way to output the PianoDisc audio files direct to Bluetooth midi though, that would be the final missing piece in my opinion.
For such an expensive system I’m a bit underwhelmed. The 1400 zip bundles just keep repeating their download, in an endless cycle.
