Masterpiece of Software

Although I am a true beginner, with not a single musical accomplishment, I have opted to learn the complex AKAI EWI (Electronic Wind Instrument) 5000. I am new to music theory, new to reading music, new to understanding music science. Also I am doing this a hobby not part of a structural learning plan. So as you can imagine, I am trying to find structure when learning scales as a staple to learning the EWI. So in an effort to find this, I have gone through the App Store using every permutation of the words ‘scales’, ‘music’ and ‘learn’ and I think my search is over because this app is perfect for my needs. Pros: - Simple, very very simple to use - I understand that it was intended to use with Keyboard MIDI device however it works perfectly with the EWI just as long as I select ‘RH’ to single out the treble clef. - Intuitive - It feels natural to use, and there are not too many settings to give me headache. - Responsive - I love the little details it give you after you have completed a scale. It also tells you what notes you are pressing outside the required note Cons: - Just one - WHERE IS THE MINOR SCALES??!! Honestly I would pay for that, the delvopers should be applauded. It may feel I am going overboard with this but I have used too many apps that get 90 percent of it right, this is 100 percent. Thanks!

Love it! Can you add minor scales?

At 63 I just started learning the piano and thought that playing scales would be a tedious chore. I soon learned that there’s a lot to be gained in learning to play them well. PianoMajors is a brilliant tool to help me analyze the strengths and weaknesses in my scales. The engineer in me appreciates the technical information that is captured by the app to help refine my technique. But this app would be useful to anyone who still practices their scales as it presents that information in an easy to understand format. The developer was extremely responsive when I reported a bug with the app and my particular digital piano and issued a fix very promptly.
