Picks: Random Generator

After several tries, I came across Picks, it is exactly what I was looking for. Easy to use, and it does its job well. I especially love the ability to import picks from file or the clipboard.

Extraordinary effort. It lets you put in whatever you want to make a choice of.

App crashes if I try to make a generator and manually type @something. However holding the app sideways makes the pickers appear and tapping those does not crash the app. So now this is basically exactly what I was looking for. And now those don’t appear anymore and I can’t figure out how to trick them into appearing again.

I was looking for a decision maker that I could use for simple things like making off the cuff “yes or no” decisions. & I wanted it on my watch. However, this app delivers much more, in that I can create a decision maker that can apply to more complex situations. Love it. Super affordable, functional, and I expect it will help me be a bit more adventurous. I’m also going to experiment with making mini games with the picker generators. Kudos to the developer.

Great App

So helpful for my adhd to take the anxiety out of making decisions! Endless possibilities as you build out pickers and add them to generators. Would love to see a widget developed and a way to set a reminder/alarm for a generator to prompt you to make a decision at a certain time each day.

This is an awesome app. I was looking for a more complex generator app, and I came across this by mistake, but I was intrigued. I tried it, and well, it worked great! However, sometimes I enter the app and the generators are...hmm...how to describe it...well, the one or two of the bars don’t look like they usually do, they’re really thin and the very top and very bottom of the words are cut off. I can still read it, though, and I can click on it and it works, so it doesn’t effect my overall experience, but I thought you might want to know. I’ve never spent money on an app before, but I’m tempted to get the pro version! I’m super happy with Picks. Ty for reading, A Picks User

There has been so many times in my life where I wish I had a randomizer for food decisions. I cannot thank you both enough for making this clever, useful and really clean, simple app that is so well executed. I love the colour generator too, and you can even control the speed of the process picker or add your own functions. An absolute requirement for anyone whom cannot figure out what show to binge, exercise regime to do for the day or what food you actually should start making tonight.

I Recommend getting this and loading a whole lot of info to the pickers. You can make useful, cool, entertaining as well as naughty picks. A lot of fun! I’d Recommend making the picks on the wheel randomized locations. Especially when the weight of each results in multiple spots that are all next to each other. Other than that, it’s super handy and fun.
