PickUp Barbados

Used the app with decent success throughout the week, but the last Friday I was here the app couldn’t find locations. Or it couldn’t find pathing to those locations. It was not a “off the beaten path” issue. I am trying to go 10-20 miles down the road. Incredibly frustrating.

I’m hoping to use the app tomorrow when our ship arrives in Barbados, but I’m unable to access the hamburger menu on my iPhone 15 Pro. It’s way up in the upper left corner, only partially onscreen and no attempts to tap it have worked. 😕

We’re heading to Barbados in a few days and I downloaded your app with the hopes of using it for convenience of hailing taxis for transportation around the island. I had read in one of the reviews that accessing the hamburger to input wallet information was not possible and in your reply you said that was fixed. I have and iPhone 15 Max Pro and it is an issue still. How quickly can that be fixed? Your app is unusable if it’s not. I’ll upgrade my rating if it can be fixed. Thanks!

Of course it's not UBER, but Barbados is not New York either. The app has a lot of room for development, but already now you can freely order a cab by paying for the trip with a credit card added to your account.

I install the app. It then asks for your phone number to text you a code to use, but it never sends it. I have my correct county before the phone number as well. It has been like this 24 hours now. No other way to sign up and use the app.

The hamburger icon on top left is partially off screen and unreachable. No way to enter payment details so app is essentially useless.

The app makes traveling around Barbados super convenient as you only need WiFi to request a taxi. You can see a fare estimate too before you confirm your request and in our experience it was almost always accurate. Will definitely use again

Very similar to uber. It doesn’t show what vehicle driver has only the license plate. The license plates are very simple to see on Bdos so not a real issue. Both drivers had actual taxis and were very friendly. For cruise dock you have to walk out the main gate for pickup so maybe an extra 50 feet compared to taxi stand.

Wish we had found this sooner. You really need a car on the island to be able to experience all the hidden gems. This a great alternative to renting.

We started using PickUp when we arrived on vacation and it’s made our entire trip so much easier and more enjoyable. We downloaded the app because we were nervous about driving on the opposite side of the road, especially after dinners and a few drinks. PickUp made getting around seamless - we could go for a sunset rum punch or a late dinner without worrying about driving back to our AirBnB. Highly recommend!
