Your digital fitness companion, for cycling. Pillar helps hit your goals, on your terms.
Pillar integrates with Strava, Garmin, Zwift, Wahoo, Suunto, Polar, Google Fit, Apple Health, Hammerhead, Trainer Road, Rouvy, and Fitbit to take your cycling performance to the next level.
Nominate your training goal. You may want to improve your sprinting, climbing or endurance. Or alternatively, you can train for a specific event by choosing from our list of 200+ cycling events worldwide.
The time of generic cycling training plans is over.
Pillar provides you with personalised plans based on your fitness level, your available training routine, and of course what you want to achieve.
And it’s adaptive. So if you miss a session or two, then it will make adjustments in real-time, making sure you’re still on track.
It’s dynamic around your body, as you get fitter – Pillar evaluates your activity and fitness progression every week, and updates your training for the next week.
In fact, Pillar evaluates all your cycling training – so it has a complete picture of what you do and even how fatigued you’re likely to be. It does this so it can make recommendations that are a good fit for you, each and every day. Ensuring you make the best use of your time in the saddle and don’t overload yourself (which leads to injury and zero progress).
Pillar is backed by science, experience, and technology.
Our session and plan algorithms have been researched and designed by experts in their respective fields. Pillar’s team of advisors include a head of performance, leaders in performance nutrition, exercise metabolism, and professional cyclists.

Pillar Reviews

Easy to use. Complete.

Easy to use. Very friendly (even for users from other countries, like me). There are a lot of workouts, for each goal (improve VO2max, Speed, Strenght).

Amazing training app- can’t live without it

Every time you look for a cycling training plan, they are always written generally and never bespoke- unless you’re prepared to pay an arm and a leg. Pillar has you covered as it takes into account your cycling experience, metrics and availability to train. There are a range of plans to choose from and you can custom suit the plan to your needs, time and experience. You can even change the plan once it’s started to suit you. My training has been transformed now and the support you receive from the pillar team is superb. Can’t live without it now! Well worth the investment.

This is great!

The pillar app is so smooth and sleek to use. Having been a regular user for a few months now it’s honestly changed my whole approach to training as I was in such a limbo before. Personal coaches are far too expensive but this app does (almost) all the hard work for you, you just need to put in the time and sweat then you’ll be rewarded!

My fitness has improved massively 🚀

My training has been transformed! I feel empowered with my decisions around my fitness and seen great progress across multiple sports.

Great idea, but UX isn’t quite there for me

Spoke to a rep at the Cycle Show London, great chat and so many things they’re doing with this app are on point (polarized training model, adaptive training prescriptions, factoring other sports). But I struggled to manually add a weights session which I’m sure would have reduced my ‘freshness’. It’s also not clear how to use the calendar. I expect to click on a day where I did an activity and see a summary but nothing happens. Generally I’ll go on this kind of app after an activity. But after my ride I just did, it’s telling me 73% freshness ‘You’re all good to hit a hard day of training’ - but I’ve just done a session and I feel tired 😂. As I say minor points overall but they all add up to me wondering if I should try Trainer Road instead! I hope my extremely honest review isn’t taken the wrong way. I would defo give the app another go after some more of the developments mentioned at the Cycle Show are in place.

Good training app

I like the personalised training plan. I’ve followed a couple now and they’ve worked for me. The ability to pick and choose your training days and the time available produces a bespoke plan. The weekly analysis is informative and I like the goal progress feature. The app is not perfect and there are still some small bugs yet to be resolved. This is to be expected as the app is still new and development has been rapid. The bugs are minor and can be worked around. Good luck Pillar.

Flexible Adaptive training program

EJHolow on

This new app is really great for me because of its flexibility. I’m a recreational rider, who likes to do sportifs, fondos, and group rides. Staying fit with a busy schedule with kids can be challenging. This apps allows me to put in days and how much time I have and builds a training plan based on a goal you setup. If something comes and I need to change a day or cancel this allows me to do this. It interfaces with other apps and computers.

Loving it

Been using the app for about 3 months now and love the adaptability of the app in your training plan to your life schedule

My first experience of using anything other than Zwift for training. Being able to speak to a coach is very helpful. Have a longer event in June so helpful for that.

Game changing way to train and meet your goals

Chalky_trek on

Life shifts and changes constantly making it difficult to choose what training to do and when. Fixed training plans don’t allow for adjustments and 1:1 coaching in a cost of living crisis is just out of the question. PILLAR is a game changer, dynamic training sessions, you choose when to train, move and adjust as your life shifts ensuring you stay on track to meet your goals! You can even add extra sessions! Weather bad and want an indoor session, no problem upload your planned session into Zwift and cycle away! So whether you’re training for a one day sportive or a multi day event PILLAR allows you to stay on track!
