First off since iOS 16 there are UI bugs that cause the buttons on the main screen disappear. Secondly make this background properly, it’s a joke that I have to keep the app on my screen…
Weird how poorly managed this app is.
as a network engineer, I’m familiar with this companies ping plotter tool on desktop. It’s very well done and useful, I have purchased it and use it on occasions where I need to test end to end, or an entire channel. So I was very surprised when I tried this app and noticed how poor of an execution the iOS version is. The interface does not seem to be aligned or scaled properly on iPhone. Additionally there are pretty much zero settings directly related to the pings. When testing Wi-Fi on a mobile device, one needs to be able to set the send interval very low, for example on other Ping apps you can set it as low as 0.1 seconds, ( ie 100ms , or sending 10 pings every one second). The one setting I found like this only went down to 0.5, and when I changed it to that nothing seemed to change, pings were still sending every two seconds which is not very useful. Additionally what you get for the nine dollar upgrade is a joke. I would really like to see this app redone and brought more closely to the standards of this company’s desktop app.
There is no reason not to allow this to be installed on M1 Mac OS 12+ machines. It would be grest to test on my Mac Book Pro
Invaluable. If you need a quick way to test, PingPlotter is the gold standard. This works great and I’m pleasantly surprised to find they put this out for free! Hopefully it receives regular updates but as it is, I’ve been able to use it with great success.
Helps me deal with my horrible cable company every time they ask me to restart my modem or tell me my router is cussing the issues. I love this app. The UX/UI can use a major rework to improve functionality.
The latest release has changed the display for the worse. The packet dropped percentage per node isn’t shown greatly reducing the usefulness of the tool.
I love this app. But after the recent update it is unusable. It crashes every time it loads. It gets to the list of recent hosts, and then crashes. No error message. Force quitting doesn’t help.
I would like to see higher resolution for the iPad Pro, and to be able to arrange windows when in landscape mode, similar to the desktop version. Be nice to be able to run in the background (or does the $12 upgrade include that?). Is there an upgrade price for owners of the desktop version?
