I am very sorry to say this app in no longer working even after update Bummer because I just started to make it a big part of a new workflow Not sure where to go now Would be nice if I can use it again
Initial import worked and I thought this was a decent app. Then one day it just stopped receiving anything new from Pinboard. I refreshed and it would say the data wasn’t in the correct format. I deleted and reinstalled the app, logged out and back in, issued a new API token — nothing worked. I finally clicked the support link and did it bring me to some basic HTML site with an FAQ and contact? No, it loaded a Twitter profile which was immediately obscured by an ad to create a Twitter account. So if that profile did have a link to a support site, I can’t see it. Garbage.
Instant Uninstall
I use this app routinely. I’d be happy to pay $10 a year in subscription fees to support maintenance. It’s a good fit to subscription because there is no real data lock.
Basic functionality. iOS, iPad OS, and desktop don’t sync with each other. No help from developer on the issue. Look elsewhere.
Instead of the link, Pins now grabs a bunch of nonsense. Used to be an important part of my workflow, now unusable.
When saving a pin on my iPhone from Chrome, the title of the page isn’t filled in. Makes it very difficult to search later.
I like the app generally, but I just realized you can’t edit the URL of a link you have saved. Seems like a strange limitation.
I was using Pinner for many years, it just worked, but was no longer updated. Found this when Pinner stopped working. I should have been using this the whole time.
