Pit Boss Grills

The Pitboss itself is good however the app is a joke and has been for a long time which means that they clearly have no intentions of fixing it and that when they say that you can control your Pitboss from the app that is clearly not true and should not be advertised as such.

The grill is awesome, the app is less than 50% reliable. To be honest, I’m buying a Treager next time simply for better wifi/remote observation qualities. This app is windows 95, just needs the crash sound….

Every time I open the app to look at my cook it basically reopens the app and ask me to sign in instead of having it running in the background. It is constantly losing connection with the grill even though it's supposed to run on wifi and I'm well within Bluetooth range

This app will ruin your smoker. I opened the app to try and check my cook, app wouldn’t connect and I had to try several times. Finally worked and everything looked good, went outside 20 minutes later to find the smoker controls frozen and the thing running full bore, it was so hot I couldn’t barely get near it. It’s lucky I decided to go check on it or it would have destroyed itself. Pit boss needs to either fix the app or remove it.

This app has difficulty communicating with my smoker and is very unreliable. For some reason the only way I can adjust the temperature settings is through the app.

Best smoker with the worst app. Literally enrages me every time I open it got even worse and less reliable with the latest update

Just downloaded the latest update and have gotten nothing but errors!!! I have a iphone 14 and Pitboss 800 smoker. Smoker works great but now I can’t use the app to control it!! Not happy at all!!!

If you like apps that crash, sign out, disconnect, freeze then this is for you. They need to hire a new dev team as there is no reason this simple app should be so bad. The grill works great on its own but part of what I paid for is to be able to connect and monitor which hardly ever works.

The idea with these apps is that you should be able to login. This doesn’t function so it’s useless. Shouldn’t sell the grill with the app if it doesn’t work.
