Didn’t work even with “configuration”
The last review had me hopeful that I could get it to work, but no dice. Tried the PIXPRO 360 and the 360 4k apps.

The last review had me hopeful that I could get it to work, but no dice. Tried the PIXPRO 360 and the 360 4k apps.
At first I was confused that the app was crashing like the other reviews mentioned, but it turns out it was due to a configuration error. When you set your camera to WiFi mode (via the WiFi button), it will start broadcasting a special WiFi network. You need to connect your iPhone to this network. Its default password is “12345678”. If you’re not connected to this WiFi network, the app will close itself shortly after opening without any error message. I got the app to work well, and am able to change camera settings. The frame rate is pretty low (one frame every second or two, very sporadic), which is why I’m taking off one star. For me, what’s crucial about this app is that it allows me to change the exposure and set the camera’s “Night Mode”. These settings persist into the UVC Webcam Mode. I’d like to set the camera up as a persistent all-sky camera, so I’ll need to run some experiments to see if this is sufficient for tracking stars and other dim objects in the night sky, but early results are promising.
The app doesn’t work. Going to be sending the camera back. What an absolute garbage.
I purchased the Kodak Orbit360 4K simply as a helmet cam, as am a bike computer, not even a motorcycle rider. There are the occasional scrapes, and cars that cut in to close, and drivers who think it’s funny to throw empty beverage cans at cyclists. I bought the camera hoping to document these unfortunate incidents. And for that purpose, the camera is very good. Make sure to point the smaller “Front” Lens forward, to catch speeding license plates as cars drive off. The software however to run on the iPhone is completely useless. It does not work, I’ve never even gotten it close to almost working. It simply crashes every single time on my iPhone 13 Max Pro. It would’ve been nice to be able to pull up A file on the fly, but I’m not even that worried about doing that. The camera can be put into loop mode such that it simply keeps recording and recording and recording. I find the battery to be fairly good with being able to do a 90 minute ride without having to change batteries. Don’t bother with this camera if you were a contact creator, and think you’re going to get Insta360 One X2 footage out of the camera. The stitching is a little rough, and the quality of the two cameras is slightly different, with the front camera being better and the dome camera in the back not being quite as good. Still, it’s very expensive these days and worth the price as a utility/safety cam.
Connect to cameras wifi, open app, app disappears. It doesn’t work.
Sorry to say, this app is virtually useless. I’ve tried it on iPad android and iPhone and I just take it as a loss. Now I am running into the issue of how to edit my footage. I purchased this camera partially based on the fact that it was supposed to have an app that made editing and uploading really simple. I’m starting to get disappointed.
As of January 2019, there is no working app for the orbit360. Purchased one recently and it will only record to an sd. No live streaming or remote viewer capabilities as promised. App crashes on open. Further research online confirms that nobody else is able to use it on ios12. Needs a fix!
App crashes everytime it connects to the camera. Unusable. Please fix this issue
Never worked
Just recently purchased the Kodak PIXPRO 360 4K and downloaded this app as well. Love the camera but I am unable to use it with my iPhone XS MAX iOS software version 12.1.3. The main point in purchasing the camera was to be able to use while traveling on my phone. Please update the app so it stops crashing every time it tries to connect to the camera.!!!
