Pixquare Reviews

It’s good when you actually can use it.

I started using this app and really liked it, but after some weeks I couldn’t even go into my art projects to edit them. I don’t know if it’s a problem on my end, or if there was a limited time for use. I really REALLY liked it when I could use it though.

Exactly what I’ve been looking for

I’m genuinely confused that this doesn’t have more reviews. It’s such a cute, intuitive, thoughtful program that’s easy to use and has some really helpful features. I’ve tried a couple other more popular pixel art apps for iPad, and this one blows them out of the water. I love that you can disable touch in drawing mode and draw with a stylus only, while still using the touchscreen to do other actions. You can really tell that the developer spent time asking artists for their feedback on what they wanted in a pixel art app.

Best pixel program on iOS

Welkin25 on

This is the best option for pixel art on iOS. It's easy to use, has a ton of features, compatible with aseprite formats (this one is important for me since it allows me to integrate my work on iPad with my work on pc), and the overall quality is so high that it's hard to believe this is the work of a solo developer and not some big graphics software company. Ironically (or shall I say unsurprisingly), for this reason the customer service is way better than what I've been getting from other big software companies. The dev is super responsive to users' questions and requests and addresses any issues right away. It's clear he has put a lot of love and effort into this app. I'd give six stars if I could!

WOW!

I almost tried every Pixel art app for iPad, Mac, PC. This app is one of my favorites. The developer actively adds features and responds to user questions. It has almost every feature similar to other apps, and even more in some cases. I hope the developer adds Mac support, including mouse wheel zoom and the middle mouse button to drag the canvas.

Procreate meets Aseprite

SkeletorPFunk on

This is the app you should use if you’re wanting a pixel art editor that’s as intuitive as Aseprite and as easy to illustrate in as Procreate. As an artist that hadn’t worked in pixel art before, this helped me make that transition easily. Love it!

Its a good app for pixle art

Citruscyrus on

United States

Ive been working on a game that uses pixle art and this app helped alot, though i dont really like how you can only use ‘two’ canvases, so i just use multiple layers for one object. The animation is something i still need to try out. But overall, this is a pretty good app to use for pixle art and i’d suggest it to you.

So good I had to leave a review

Amazing app, so intuitive and easy to use. Can’t believe all the features come with the freemium version.

Aseprite-Touch for iOS

PixlPikl on

United States

It’s a wonderful piece of software. Works perfectly and is like Aseprite on iOS!! A must-buy! Support an independent and talented artist!

Seems really nice so far

Joshua De Yonge on

Good app with a lot to do. I’m still learning it, but overall really nice. A few issues I noticed are the canvas grid won’t display both colors. Only the first color affects the background; the other does nothing. Last, a suggestion would be to have the tool name or info pop up on Apple Pencil hover, as most of the settings and tools I’m not sure yet what they do. Otherwise, great app and would recommend.

I loved it but…

dhhduddu on

I tried a lot of the features and loved them. I understand why there’s upgrades and stuff, but the free version is kinda useless if I can’t have more than 2 files :(.
