Pixsteps FAQ
Is Pixsteps free?
Pixsteps is not free (it costs 3.99), however it doesn't contain in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Pixsteps legit?
🤔 The Pixsteps app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
This is fun. I love that it’s not linked to GIS or the internet to use. The triple use of steps makes them awesome and a good incentive.
But… the end game has come too soon. I’m level 53 and the middle store item is the only one with options. It will stop soon as well, I’m sure.
I’ve been playing almost a full year. Please, more pets and plants!
Plot size locked still
Since the game’s launch the area to plant your garden has remained the same for us…this last update indicated that area expanded a tiny bit, maybe enough to plant one more row. Our world trees are leveled into the 40s and 50s but our planting area does not grow.
We love the concept of the game and appreciate some new stuff in the shop to buy with our steps, but only having a tiny window to plant in is frustrating.
Love! Except expansion
To start, I want to say this is my favorite app and has been since I downloaded it earlier this year. It’s been an absolute joy expanding/growing my garden and has been good motivation with half marathon training, especially since leveling up now requires so many steps.
I’ve never had a complaint until now - I’ve been growing my garden towards the lake/body of water. I was so excited for my garden to grow into that space since I thought it would come with a whole new set of water-based garden items and animals (fish, turtles, etc) to buy.
However, I was disappointed to find that instead of overlapping the water features, my garden now protrudes into the water quite unnaturally. I also love the water elements throughout the overall world so it seems a shame that eventually my garden will completely get rid of them to be one big stretch of grass. I’m assuming this is the intention of the designers rather than a specific blip in my game since everything else seems to be working perfectly. If so, please reconsider and introduce water elements to the game!
Was loving this game until I found a delete bug
There should be an option to “bank” items you don’t want to use for the time being. Instead there’s only a delete function. But the game also doesn’t seem to be able to click in the proper places, sometimes you’ll click an item and something else will be clicked instead.
Well, don’t you know I clicked on a sunflower to delete it (it was nowhere near other items, it was off in the corner of the map) and when I hit delete, my master sword was deleted instead. I was upset and thought I must have made the mistake myself, until I tried it again and my gazebo was deleted.
Over 40,000 steps wasted all for nothing. Now I don’t even want to keep playing because I can’t trust that anything I put on the map will be able to be properly delete.
At least if there was a “bank” function you could remove items and place them back if the wrong thing got removed by accident.
Perfect pedometer paradise
I’ve been looking for a pedometer themed game for a while and nothing quite met my needs. This is perfect! It’s adorable, it’s fun, and it’s functional! Worth way more than the asking price.
Fantastic! I have a request
This is an adorable game. I love the idea of a cozy pedometer game where I don’t have to fight anything or “level” a character. Also, I love arranging my items around my tree.
One request! I know this is a very small developer team so you might be a long way away from something like this, but it would be so cool if it switched to night time at night so I could see my map in the dark with my campfire lit up. That would be awesome.
Anyway. Love the game and the art is so cute
So underrated!
Honestly I was very skeptical at first but got it to support women in STEM and the gaming industry, and have fallen in love with it!
I have a Fitbit as well, so it’s given me a way to have fun while working out even if it doesn’t count the same amount my Fitbit tracks, but either way I love my garden and my animals that come along with it, and the steps being the currency really does make you want to walk more to unlock the items and to build your garden.
Highly recommend if you’re wanting to have a cute way to track your daily steps and workouts!
Very cute, still needs a few issues to iron out, but all around worth it!!
You can kinda see all the positives in the other reviews and the pictures for the app, so I’ll just list some things they really need to fix.
The game “synchronizes” every time you press a button and it lasts for like 6-7 seconds. Not horrible since I’m not really in a rush, but a little annoying.
The game needs more choices for push notifications. When I go for a walk, I 100% want this think to let me know when I’m almost going to grow something, or when something’s been fully grown. It takes a looong time for it to notify me, I’m pretty sure it only syncs with the health app when you open it.
Please let me spend an increasing amount of steps to re-roll my daily store :’)
Please don’t have pre-set daily stores and allow it to actually be randomized per user.
FOR APPLE WATCH USERS
If you got this app, and then get a phone after, the Apple Watch version doesn’t sync. I can open mine and it’ll just say 0 steps and show an empty lot. As far as I can tell, the Apple Watch version simply doesn’t work.
Very cute!
Very cute pixel pedometer game! It’s been motivating me to get out and walk around! I really enjoy decorating and unlocking new items.
It Has Potential
The game is aesthetically amazing but unfortunately no flowers load for me and it doesn’t track my steps.
