Love what you’re able to do in this planner app. You can pan the writing space all the way off the page if you need to get a better angle at the edge of the page. Good writing utensil customization (without getting extremely complicated like ProCreate). Easy page template system. Writing with the Apple Pen feels great. One problem; several times now when I hit the undo button, a random sized square erases my writing in a random spot, not my last stroke with the Pen. Hitting redo doesn’t do anything.

I’ve been using this app for about 3-4 years now. I use it for everything from: storyboarding book ideas, tracking data for online games, create and run DND campaigns and character sheets, taking class notes, and so on. I do occasionally use it to journal but the applications for this app are so much more and I’m not much of a consistent journalist. The app creators consistently roll out updates and are very active participants with the community that use the app. If you like to scrapbook, I would also suggest this app for you. There are so many: paper packs, stickers, washi tapes, frames, etc. for you to use. It’s like having a digital version of Creative Memories at your fingertips. I 100% recommend this app for everyone. It is worth every penny.

This is the only app I use to journal, take notes for school, and plan work projects but I’ve had weird things happen with this app for a couple months now. When I have more than one window up, it will often crash (usually when I need to change the line spacing of text) and I have to close both windows and reopen one at a time. When this happens I almost always lose my last bit of work and have to redo whatever I lost. This app is nearly perfect, but there is no free crop for photos or stickers, you can’t take out any photos you put in frames you can only replace them, and it’s not impossible but if you want to change the color, font, or size of your text while typing it is way more complicated than it should be. Also there are lined pages but the only way to make the text fit in the lines is 24 size font with 39 line spacing, and if I want to change the font size of any part of my text it will be completely unaligned between the lines. I do love this app so much I’ve been using it for over two years now and it’s the only reason I have and use my iPad. These small things just make the app really annoying to use when you use it for everything like I do. Also when I use text boxes the text almost always ends up super blurry when it isn’t selected, which makes it really difficult to use to take notes, but I had never had that problem before until recently. Lastly, This isn’t a necessity but I rely heavily on linking my pages to each other and I would love to be able to link to other journals or pages in other journals.

You need to pay for everything just use the iPhones note app its more productive

OK GEEZ WHY DOES THIS TAKE A WHOLE 10 MINUTES TO LOAD IM ON THE LATEST VERSION OF THE IPAD AND MY WIFI IS AT 3 BARS IM REALLY ANNOYED!!! WHATS GOING ON?!

This is the best journaling app. It’s so simple to navigate and it has the cutest templates!

This app has a lot of great features and you can do so much. However I personally cannot. Every time I try to search for a certain sticker/background/etc the app freezes. I use this app as a book journal and I’m limited to copy/paste things I have used in the past…. Which also means I can’t really use this app for anything else. I can’t use the app to its fullest which is why I will be looking for a different app. I have to say though, customer service is great. They get back to you quickly and walk you through troubleshooting. Unfortunately they haven’t been able to resolve the issue. I would still recommend trying this app if you’re looking for a digital planner/journal. Hopefully that bug isn’t widespread.

I love this app so much that I’m holding myself back from getting a new iPad before the new one launches––BUT adopting it across platforms and onboarding on different platforms is SO BUGGY, I could only give it four stars. I downloaded it to my MacBook Pro first, where I was told I could select multiple options (tracking new adopters’ preferences should not be this important to the developers/company), but could not. Once I enrolled for a free trial, there were more questions that I could not answer (because of bugs). After I had made several beautiful journal pages, I could not find any app setting in the Mac version to ensure that my content was syncing to the cloud. It was also not available as an option to add to my iCloud synch preferences. So, this morning, I downloaded the iPad version… and, although I had already accepted a trial, had to go through the series of questions (you CAN answer these on an iPad, developers), then there was no option to sign in and no acknowledgement by the app that I was already using a trial version. And, when I tried to accept a NEW TRIAL that I would have had to cancel, it told me that there was another user with my Apple ID. So, I couldn’t log in, and I couldn’t accept a new trial. I have found a work around, I believe, but the developers need to simplify onboarding, DEBUG IT, and DEBUG/improve app trial, subscription, and synch issues between Apple devices. Also, BTW, the Mac version isn’t great or intuitive. That said, this APP is AMAZING when you figure out its less than intuitive interface, and it meets SO many different needs. It is an app that I know I will use everyday to journal AND as a planner. It requires no subscription to use amazing templates, and, in that way, is,I believe, a step above GoodNotes… At least for my needs. I have not checked to see if if can record and transcribe audio, but it should, and I hope it does. DEVELOPERS: PLEASE debug and improve this awesome app. I wouldn’t have taken the time to write this review if I didn’t love your App and didn’t see how much it can benefit so many people. It’s great productivity and personal tool. You will get and retain many more users with a few quick fixes. People reading this, I hope you won’t be too turned off by the bugs and my review not to try this App. It is great!! My advice is to NOT download the Mac version first, if you have a laptop and multiple devices. I think starting with the iPad version, which is obviously the best medium
