I have noticed a definite improvement in some of my plants since I started using this to keep track. I have too many plants to remember specific watering schedules for so this is excellent for that.

I signed up for a month’s subscription and I have to say overall I’m disappointed. A lot of the information for plants isn’t accurate, especially how frequently plants should be watered. If I followed Planta’s advice on this most of my plants would die. The watering periods are far too far between for about half or more of my plants and some are advised to be overwatered to the point that it would kill them. I’m fairly certain if you water outside the suggested dates the app doesn’t take that into account at all and will still advise you water when it feels you should, and if you have a poor memory like mine, that can lead to a very sick plant very quickly. The Dr Planta feature is so inept it should be scrapped. The identifier is very hit or miss and has incorrectly identified many of my plants. Misting most plants isn’t required at all, especially given humidity levels where I live: it would result in rotting plants and a lot of mould in my apartment. Repotting date suggestions are useless and do not reflect any of my plants needs. However, I do enjoy the feature where I can list my plants, take photos and keep notes, but other than that, the app just isn’t worth paying for in my honest and personal opinion.

Excellent at helping me keep house plants alive

I’ve struggled to keep plants alive but this app has helped a lot. I’d love a feature that would adjust my plants’ schedule based on vacation or being out of town. And give suggestions of what tasks can be postponed vs the plants that cannot go without care.

My top gripes are that you can’t log temperatures and humidity, you can’t add your own illnesses you have to use dr.planta, and you can’t make more customizable schedules. As an obsessive plant parent I would really like to be able to see data about my plant. It would be helpful for me to know specifically how wet the soils stays and what temperatures and humidity the plant seems to be thriving in. A more growth assisting app would be so helpful. I want more than just a basic reminder app. I think AI could probably help a lot to make a more informative and effective app that is not so restrictive!

Game changer. I’ve been using Planta for over 2 years now and my plants are close to reaching my ceiling. Takes all the guesswork out of taking care of your plants because it’ll tell you when it’s time to water, mist, repot etc. I don’t pay for any apps except this one fr. This isn’t even sponsored lol my plants are just doing too well and honestly I only know how to take care of them because of planta

No iPad or windows/browser support is a shame. Need to delete several plants, and have to use my tiny phone and go one by one
