Planta took me from killing artificial plants to an actual gardener, no joke!
This app could be so much better. Apart from paywalling most features behind a seriously overpriced subscription model (which is somewhat commonplace these days) there are features that could be implemented in a much better way. I don’t care for “doctor planta” or adding grow lights or any of these bells and whistles, I just want to be able to keep track of when I water each plant and this app lacks even the basic functionality of letting me input that I watered my plant earlier than scheduled*… I don’t need to “tap on the task for instructions” since I have completed this task over a million times before. Tapping on a task to complete early or snooze or reschedule would be much more useful. *Update: I was contacted by Planta about how I can add a new task. Still it seems convoluted to me having to add a new watering task when I instinctively want to edit the upcoming one. Good software design is all about being intuitive after all. I appreciate they contacted me and since the feature exists I updated my rating to be fair.
Very good app, however it would be better that some there was no need for premium
I’ve struggled to keep plants alive but this app has helped a lot. I’d love a feature that would adjust my plants’ schedule based on vacation or being out of town. And give suggestions of what tasks can be postponed vs the plants that cannot go without care.
My top gripes are that you can’t log temperatures and humidity, you can’t add your own illnesses you have to use dr.planta, and you can’t make more customizable schedules. As an obsessive plant parent I would really like to be able to see data about my plant. It would be helpful for me to know specifically how wet the soils stays and what temperatures and humidity the plant seems to be thriving in. A more growth assisting app would be so helpful. I want more than just a basic reminder app. I think AI could probably help a lot to make a more informative and effective app that is not so restrictive!
Me ayuda mucho con mis plantas y me aconseja cuando tengo problemas con ellas gracias
Game changer. I’ve been using Planta for over 2 years now and my plants are close to reaching my ceiling. Takes all the guesswork out of taking care of your plants because it’ll tell you when it’s time to water, mist, repot etc. I don’t pay for any apps except this one fr. This isn’t even sponsored lol my plants are just doing too well and honestly I only know how to take care of them because of planta
No iPad or windows/browser support is a shame. Need to delete several plants, and have to use my tiny phone and go one by one
it makes you pay for the plant identification using the camera and that’s the reason I downloaded it
